Rajasthan Scrapped MAT from 2013

The Department of Technical Education (DTE) has now decided to scrap Rajasthan Management Aptitude Test (RMAT) conducted by Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) from 2013. DTE, Rajasthan has now decided to accept CMAT scores for admissions from next year.

RMAT is the second state level entrance test to scrapped off after MHCET. AICTE has received positive response from many state universities who have agreed to accept CMAT. Among them Kerala, Maharashtra and Rajasthan are the one who have formally declared that they will accept CMAT from 2013. In order to encourage more institutes to accept CMAT, AICTE is not charging any fees from the institutes who agree to accept CMAT scores for admissions. Moreover, the council has also extended the CMAT registration dates from January 9, 2012 to January 22, 2012.

The council is also planning to conduct CMAT twice a year, once in February and then in June from next year to give more admission opportunities to MBA aspirants.
