Medical Council of India ups MBBS Seats in Madhya Pradesh's 5 Colleges

BHOPAL: Here is good news for aspiring medical students. Medical Council of India (MCI) has increased the number of MBBS seats in five medical colleges of the state. All seats will be open for admission for the session 2013-14.

 

"Approval to increase the intake capacity in medical colleges of state was pending. The approval letter has come now," said minister of state for medical education Mahendra Hardia. Confirming that the seats will be open from session 2013-14, Dr Sanjay Dixit of MGM said, "Seats will be open for admission for the current academic session. We have scrutinized more than 600 students and seats will be allocated to 150 students after increase in number of seats."

 

A total of 10 seats have been increased in Mahatma Gandhi Medical College (MGM), Indore; Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal, Gajra Raja Medical College and Research Centre, Gwalior; Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College & Hospital, Jabalpur.However, a total of 40 seats have been increased in Shyam Shah Medical College, Rewa.
