 Eligibility:

MBA : Passed or appearing in 2016, for the Bachelor’s Degree examination of minimum three years duration from any University of Odisha or from a recognized University as defined by UGC/AICTE. OR Passed or appearing in 2016, for the Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology / Pharmacy examination of minimum four / five years duration in any discipline from any University of Odisha or from a recognized University as defined by UGC/AICTE. The candidate should have obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) at the qualifying examination. There is no age limit to for admission to MBA / PGDM course.  

MCA 3yrs : For admission into 1 st year Master degree in Computer Application Passed or appearing in 2016, for the Bachelor’s Degree examination of minimum three years duration in any discipline from any University of Odisha or from a recognized University as defined by UGC and must have passed in Mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduate Level. Business Mathematics at +2 level are not permitted. The candidate should have obtained at least 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) at the qualifying Examination. If the candidate has passed BCA with mathematics as a subject, he/she may appearthe entrance test without Mathematics at 10+2 level. There is no age limit to admission to MCA course .

MCA LE 2yrs : For admission into Master in Computer Application under Lateral Entry to 2 nd year: Passed or appearing in 2016, for the Bachelor’s Degree examination of minimum three years duration in BCA, B. Sc (IT/ Computer Science) from any University of Odisha or from a recognized University as defined by UGC and must have passed in Mathematics as a course at 10+2 level or at Graduate Level. Business Mathematics at +2 level are not permitted. The candidate should have obtained at least 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) at the qualifying Examination. There is no age limit to admission to 2nd year MCA under Lateral Entry course.  

Admission Procedure:

MBA : Student should be a Graduate of 10+2+3 Pattern from any discipline including Engineering provided he/she qualify in any Common Entrance Test conducted by any Organisation are national level or by the State Govt. or the affiliating University. The admission of students takes place normally in the month of June – August every year and mostly they are taken from the common counseling made through OJEE, any other tests like CAT,MAT, XAT, ATMA etc. and this is non-negotiable in all the circumstances and the individual Institutes have no role to play in the matter.

Sc (IT/ Computer Science) from any University of Odisha or from a recognized University as defined by UGC and must have passed in Mathematics as a course at 10+2 level or at Graduate Level. MCA 3yrs :  Passed or appearing in 2014, for the Bachelor’s Degree examination of minimum three years duration in any discipline from any University of Odisha or from a recognized University as defined by UGC and must have passed in Mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduate Level. Business Mathematics at +2 level are not permitted. The candidate should have obtained at least 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) at the qualifying Examination. If the candidate has passed BCA with mathematics as a subject, he/she may appearthe entrance test without Mathematics at 10+2 level

Facilities:

Computer Laboratory : The classrooms of the Institute are equipped with modern facilities so that the students are able to have a better understanding. The teaching aids like Overhead Projectors, LCD etc. are extensively used to enhance their knowledge base at a faster speed and whenever necessary, printed material is supplemented by audio/video materials.

Class Room : USBM has spacious air conditioned and acoustically controlled Computer Laboratories connected with Broad Band Internet facility equipped with latest softwares and hardwares. The computer laboratory is used as a centralized system providing connection to terminals to faculty rooms and administrative office to facilitate data collection, downloading, printing, scanning etc.

Library : USBM provides a well stocked library consisting of both texts and references along with provision for news papers, periodicals and journals of both National and International repute. The library also provides DELNET facility. The Institute is quite liberal in issuing books in all subjects to the students to facilitate home studies matching to classroom disseminations..

Hostel : Separate hostel facility is provided for boys and girls. All the hostels are equipped with morning newspapers, TV & other facilities as required by the students.

Canteen : The Canteen is available inside the campus which caters to the needs of all students and employees by providing snacks, Tiffin's, and meals of all kinds of taste.

Transportation : The Institute provides transportation facilities to its students by the Institute busses from different places of the Bhubaneswar city to its campus. The hostellers can go for marketing once a week by the college bus.

Finance Support : If you are planning to pursue MBA at USBM but finance is a problem, USBM provides study loan assistance through Banks & financial institutions to fund the expenditure on education for its students

The Placement Cell of USBM, a professionally managed team has enabled the institute to initiate, develop and enhance relationships with the corporate sector.
