The Nadgir Education Society was established by the dedicated efforts of S.M.M. Nadgir and a few other educations in the year 1976 with the sole object of serving the higher educational needs in Karnataka State. The Society has established an Engineering Institute in Rajajinagar in the year 1979. The Institute has since grown into major educational campus and now on the roll over 1000 students. Students are offered External Diploma & AMIE Courses in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Telecommunication Engineering, Tutorial section offers coaching for BE I & II Year.The Institute has just completed 25 years, and in this short span a spectacular progress both in academic Co-curricular activities and extra curricular activities has been recorded, Remarkable progress has been made in respect of expansion and improving training placement Library Laboratory & Workshop Facilities.

- Foreign candidates having study permit issued by Government of India are also eligible provided, they have secured equivalence certificate from Director, Technical Education, Bangalore, Karnataka.
- Age - 16 Years as on 1st July of the Year of Admission.
- Height - 155 Cms and above.
- Weight - 40 Kgs and above.
For D.M.L.T./D.X.R.T./D.O.T.T./D.S.H.I.:
- Pass in SSLC for 3 years Course.
- Pass in II PUC /10+2 in PCB for 2 years Course.
Facilities:
Hostel: Hostel facilties are available for students coming from outside Bangalore. Hostel operates on no profit no loss basis. Each student will be provided with a COT, Chair and table. Approximate expenses per month varies from Rs. 1400 to 1500 /-. Seperate Application on plan paper as to be submitted by the student if he desires to join the hostel. Separate hostel for boys and girls are available in modern and beautiful buildings with mess facilities.
Library: The NDIET central library began its existence in the year 2004. It's a centralized well equipped hybrid library established with mission of quality and innovative information service. It is successfully fulfilling the informational need of NDIET user community. It holds knowledge resources predominantly related to Engineering, Technology, Management and allied subjects. The library collection comprises of huge volumes of books, National and International journals, online journals and wide range of magazines and CD-ROMs.
