Muthayammal College of Engineering, established in the year 2011 under the aegis of Muthayammal Educational Trust and Research Foundation, is located in the congenial vicinity of Rasipuram, 25 Kms from Salem.Under the able guidance and patronage of Shri R. Kandasamy, Chairman and Prof.K.Gunasekaran, M.E., (Ph.D), Secretary & Managing Trustee, the college has been developed with the excellent facilities and resources such as spacious Classrooms, Seminar halls, Well-equipped Laboratories, Workshops, well-stocked Libraries, High-speed Broadband Internet connectivity to ensure the ambiance at par with International Standards.

The college is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to the Anna University. It offers 5 Under Graduate Courses (B.E. – Civil ,CSE, ECE, EEE, &Mech.) and 2 Post Graduate Courses (M.E. – Structural Engineering and Thermal Engineering). The college has 9 Academic Departments each headed by competent and experienced Professors. The Institution has 130 well qualified staff members including 9 Professors with Ph.D. degree. In addition, 20 faculty members are pursuing their PhD degree and actively involved in Research. T In the past three years, around 100 Research papers have been published in International Journals and conferences by the staff members and around 300 Technical papers have been presented in various Symposiums by the students.
