Having started in early 1999 as small campus, now it is blossomed into a complete institute for higher education and research. MITS is affiliated with Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi to offer Bachelor of Technology and Master of Technology courses. The approved disciplines under B.Tech. are Biotechnology Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering (2nd Shift), Electrical Engineering (2nd Shift). Biotechnology Engineering and Industrial Engineering are the approved disciplines under M.Tech. Programme. MITS holds the pride of place being the first ever-technological institution in Odisha to get awarded by Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhawana Award for imparting Best Technical Education in Odisha.

Scholarship :

 

Welcome to Scholarships for Engineering Students 2012-2013 Section. Engineering Scholarships promote the educational development of students desiring to pursue a career in engineering. A scholarship is financial support given to students for the purpose of study. It is usually given to students who have no income to provide for the payment of their engineering fees.

Eligibility : Students pursuing full time courses in these streams studying in Schools/Colleges/Institutions/Universities recognized by MCI/AICTE/State Education Boards/ State Govt. / ICSC/CBSE/Central Govt./Association of Indian universities, shall be eligible to apply. The student should have bonafide admission in the 1st year of School/College/Institute/University in the academic year 2009-2010. Students having confirmed admission in the first year of full time engineering degree course and also 11th standard as well as those in the 1st year of 2 year ITI course are eligible to apply. In case of graduates, the average percentage of marks of all the academic years shall be treated as marks obtained by the candidate. Similarly in case of 10th/12th, if percentage of marks obtained is not mentioned by Board/University, percentage of marks obtained shall be calculated on total aggregate marks. Minimum eligibility percentage of marks for various categories will be as indicated above. Gross Joint income of the family of the candidate from all sources (during financial year 2008-2009) should not exceed Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only). Income certificate should be issued by Competent Revenue Authorities only. The marks obtained in the qualifying examination making the students eligible to seek admission in the respective first year of these courses will be considered for selection. Criterion for selection will be merit and family's income.
