LOYOLA INSTITUTE OF BUSSINESS ADMINISTRATION

 LIBA, established in 1979, is a premier management institute known for its academic excellence and value-based education. It provides management education to both fresh graduates seeking world-class management education and also to those who are already employed and want to enhance their managerial skills. The Post Graduate Diploma in Management (full-time) is being offered since 1995. Both the part-time and the full-time PGDM programmes are approved by the AICTE and the full-time programme is recognised by the AIU as equivalent to the MBA degree of Indian Universities. LIBA also has collaborations with several Universities overseas and seeks to imbibe a global mindset in its students. There is also a strong focus on consultancy and research and LIBA encourages its faculty and students to undertake consultancy projects with corporates.

Full-Time - PGDM

The objectives of the full-time PGDM programme is to faciliatate the development of individuals as:

  • Proficient managers who respond to the socio-economic and organiszational challenges of the present global environment.
  • Contributors to national development by promosing a better quality of life.
  • Creative managers with the spirit of innoation and an urge to excel.
  • Responsible individuals committed to quality , social responsibility and tothe betterment of the less privileged.
  • Entrepreneurs who act with the highest principles of ethics. 
  • Eligibility
    • The candidate should be a graduate in any discipline from a recognised university (AIU) and should have secured a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate.
    • A candidate who is in the final year of bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification can also apply, and if selected, will be allowed to join the programme only if a provisional certificate is submitted latest by June 8, 2010 from the Principal/Registrar of the college/institute stating that the candidate has completed all the requirements (The results may, however, be awaited for obtaining the bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification).

The courses offered as part of the full time PGDM programme not only imparts knowledge in the arts and science of modern management and hones the managerial skills in students but also develops their overall personality. Emphasis is placed on developing leadership qualities, communication skills, team building sensitivity to ethical issues, With continuous review from the Faculty and industry, LIBA constantly redesigns and restructures the curriculum to make it relevant to meet the needs of today's managers.
