Eligibility:

Any Graduate with 50% marks in aggregate.

Admission Procedure :

The admission process of KBS is a structured and systematic one. To become eligible to take admission in KBS one must be a graduate with 50% marks in the aggregate. Final year degree students are eligible for taking provisional admission, subject to the condition that they must secure 50% marks in the aggregate at the time of final admission. Additionally the condidate must have a valid score in a national level admission test such as CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT/AIMA/OJEE etc. Selection will be based on the score in the aforementioned test, GD and PI.

PGDM Programme :

PGDM is a two years fulltime autonomous programme, approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) under the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Govt. of India, New Delhi. The course curriculum is designed in such a way as to give the students adequate knowledge and to make them suitable for the managerial positions.

Facilities:

Library : The Library at the Koustuv Business offers the best in progressive as well as traditional learning resources. The Library has been set-up with the aim to encourage independent study & research activities by providing different knowledge sources an academician might require. It is the crux of learning at KBS which caters to the intellectual needs of the students, the faculty members and the researchers. KBS Library resources of information, from hard copies to electronic sources, which include a book bank along with reference books, periodicals, latest Engineering journals, in-house publications, examination papers and related documentation, etc.

Lecture Halls : The lecture halls are thoughtfully designed to inculcate high quality learning and are equipped for education through various media like OHPs, Multimedia presentations and display panels. A variety of learning tools ensure thorough experimental acquisition of knowledge and skills.Role plays, case studies, project works, field experiences, assignments, quizzing, seminars and industry visits are some of the methods used. Students are encouraged to develop analytical skills and contribute at various forums like in-house publications, workshops and seminars.

Hostel (Koustuv Residency) : A Hostel plays a vital role in developing, intellectual, social & cultural aspects of the life of a student. It is in the hostel the students coming from North & South, East & West find their home with a difference after remaining away from their native homes . Hence a hostel aims not only to create a different atmosphere but also it provides the facilities that our students need to become successful, mature and socially responsible & environment friendly individuals. In this regard our Koustuv Group of Institutions provide all the residential facilities to its student boarders and all the hostel rules & regulations, the guidelines & supervision rules are directed towards these ends . Health & Wellness Care : KBS has the provision of providing routine medical check up facilities to its students who are normally attended by an appointed medical practitioner. In addition to this KBS has the advantage of enjoying the medical assistance from the major hospitals like Kalinga Hospital, Apollo Hospital, KIMS Hospital. LV Prasad Eye Hospital & Aditya Care Hospital which are located within a proximity of 2KM distance only.

Transport : KBS Provides transportation facilities to all the members of its hostel boarders as well as the day scholars for which it maintains a fleet of buses which ply regularly on the stipulated routes between the twin cities i.e. Bhubaneswar and Cuttack and the outskirts of the temple city. Besides the scheduled regular trips, this transport facility is also extended to our students on other occasions like campus placement drives, special coaching classes, study tours, industry visits etc.

Bank & ATM Facility : To facilitate money transaction Syndicate Bank is operative inside the campus and the students are at liberty to avail of the bank facilities along with zero balance student account. Needy students are guided on perusing study loan from leading banks subject to approval.

Training and Placement :

The Training & Placement cell at KBS focuses on three major functions which include on-the-job training corporate visit & final placement.

On-the-Job Training : This training is an integral part of the course curriculum. At the end of 1st year of course curriculum each student has to undergo summer training in an organisation to have a practical on the hand experience. The training fulfills the following objections:

• It gives an exposure to the students about the actual work situation in an organisation.
• It exposes the students about the real work, related work, problems faced by an organisation and how to tackle there problems.

Corporate Visits : Koustuv Business School arranges from time to time corporate visits and industrial visits where by the students observe the works going on the shop floor and the managerial decisions making process at the corporates.
