I.T.S Centre for Dental Studies and Research has come a long way since its inception. Although its ideals and principles have not changed, its approach to providing quality education has changed keeping pace in time with advancing technologies and techniques. I.T.S Centre for Dental Studies and Research could very well exemplify the Latin quote “nil sine labore” which means “nothing without labor”. I.T.S Centre for Dental Studies and Research was established in the year 2000 and is located on Delhi-Meerut Road, Murad Nagar, Ghaziabad, barely 22 kms from ISBT, Delhi. The college is surrounded by a number of neighboring villages, which provide the essential clinical material so vital for training in the field of Life Sciences and maintaining health care of both the rural and urban population. The Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S) course is recognized by the Dental Council of India and Ministry of Health & Family Welfare vide letter No. V-12017/15/2000-PMS dated 5.7.2005 and is affiliated to Ch. Charan Singh University, Meerut.

Eligibility:

For BDS:

Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S) is recognized by Dental council of India and Ministry of health & family welfare, Govt. of India vide notification No. V-1207/15/2000-PMS dated 05.07.05

The course shall be of 5 years with 240 teaching days in each academic year.

The candidate must complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the BDS course.

The candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary examination or the Indian School Certificate examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher Secondary examination. The student must have obtained 50% marks in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology and must have qualifying marks in English. For SC, ST or OBC, the minimum marks shall be 40%.

The student shall be allowed to appear in the examination on the following basis:

• The student must have 75% attendance individually in Theory, Practical’s and Clinical in each year.
• In case of a subject in which there is no examination at the end of the academic year, the percentage of attendance shall not be less than 70%. However, at the time of appearing for the professional examination in the subject, the aggregate percentage of attendance in the subject should satisfy the above mentioned condition.
• Any student, who does not clear the first BDS University Examination in all subjects within 3 years from the date of admission, shall be discharged from the Course.
• Any candidate who fails in one subject in an examination is permitted to go to the next higher class and appear for the subject and complete it successfully before he / she is permitted to appear for the next higher examination.

Admission:

For BDS:

• Admission to BDS Course at I.T.S Dental College is completed through a single Common Entrance Test conducted by the Association of Private Medical & Dental Colleges of U.P - UP Common Admission Test-Dental (UPCATD). The Details of the test are advertised in national newspapers during April / May of every year

For MDS:

• The College is running Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) in all 9 specialties recognized by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India.
• Admission to MDS Course at I.T.S Dental College is completed through a single Common Entrance test conducted by Association of Private Medical & Dental Colleges of U.P -UP Common Admission Test-Dental (UPCATD). The Details of Test are advertised in National Newspaper during Jan / Feb of every Year.
