The Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition, Meerut was established in 1987 as an autonomous body and is registered as an Educational Society under Societies Act 1860. Meerut is a historical city where the 1857 uprising started against the British rule. It is the richest district of Uttar Pradesh in agriculture and occupies a leading role in the politics of Western U.P. It has the added advantage of being close to New Delhi, our national capital and is well connected by road and rail. Foreseeing sharp increase of employment opportunities in hospitality industry, following the rapid growth of tourism, the institute took up the challenge of transforming young students into professionals for the hospitality sector.The old institute with a campus area of over 2.5 acres has emerged as a leading training institution in North India. Eligibility :

BHMCT :

• Students who have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with minimum 50% mark can apply and take direct admission.
• Students appearing in UPSEE examination being conducted by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow in April 2018 can get IHM Meerut through counseling by putting their first choice as IHM Meerut – Code 157.

B.Sc. HHA :

• Students who have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with minimum 50% mark can apply and take direct admission under management quota (50% seats).
• Students appearing in JEE examination being conducted by NCHMCT in April 2018 can get seat allotted for IHM Meerut through counseling by putting their first choice as IHM Meerut under Private Institutes.
• Details and form for direct admission will be put on are website between--------------------------------
• Direct admission will be strictly as per merit list based percentage in 10+2 or equivalent exam and admission will have to be completed as per the laid down time schedule.

DHMCT :

• Students who have passed Intermediate or equivalent examination with minimum 50% marks can apply and take direct admission.
• Students appearing in JEEUP examination conducted by Board of Technical Education, Lucknow can get seat allotted for IHM Meerut through counseling. (IHM Meerut – Code 126).

Hostel : Hostels offers clean and comfortable living conditions in environment friendly atmosphere. Every student in the room is provided with single bed, study table, chair and a cupboard, running hot & cold water, filtered cold drinking water, generator, inverter and incoming telephone call facilities are also available.It is mandatory for all first year male students to stay in the hostel. It is mandatory for all female students (except whose parents reside in Meerut) to stay in the hostel for entire duration of study. With a concern for a safer location for girls, the girls' hostel is located downtown and free transportation from the hostel to the institute is provided. All hostellers need to be a member of the mess in the hostel. First year students will be provided double/triple occupancy rooms only. Payment of hostel fees may be remitted by a separate demand draft in favour of IHM Meerut, payable at Meerut.
