Eligibility:

For B.Tech & MBA:

• 75% of the seats are filled by the University through State Entrance Examination (SEE-UPTU) & 10% through AIEEE Counselling depending on the rank obtained by the student.
• Counselling sessions for the same are called in 9 cities and announced in leading Newspapers.
• Balance 15% seats are filled by the colleges through direct admissions under UPTU guidelines.

        For B.Tech -  Ist year:

• Rank in SEE-UPTU / AIEEE
• (10+2) with Physics & Maths. and any one out of Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science with 55% marks.
• Note: for B.Tech. (Bio - Tech.), Physics & Chem. with either Maths or Bio. with 55% marks is eligible.

        For B.Tech IInd year Direct Admission:

• Rank in SEE - UPTU
• Diploma in Engg. with 60% or B.Sc. (with maths) 60%  marks.

For M.B.A.:

• Rank in SEE - UPTU
• Rank in CAT / MAT
• Graduation in any discipline with 50% marks
• Category III: – M.Tech Courses are Affiliated to UPTU & Approved by AICTE.

For M.Tech:

• Rank in UPSEE.
• GATE percentile of 85% desirable.
• Minimum 60% in B. Tech from an AICTE approved institution (relaxation for sponsored candidates), in a related domain.
• Direct application: – with the concerned Department & Program Coordinator.
• For sponsored candidates eligibility can be relaxed.

Facilities:

Library: The Central Library of HCST was formed in 1996. Central library serves the academic needs of about 4500 students & 325 faculty & staff members. College library is fully computerized, has bar code technology with all modern facilities & resources such as CD-Rom, Online database, Journals, Audio- Video Cassettes, Dissertations / Project reports etc. Central Library also has a separate computer lab with 10 computers with internet facility. Collection of the Central Library has grown up to more than 1, 19,738/- books & more than 1000 bound Journals / Periodicals. The collection mainly focuses on Science & Technology. We are currently involved in utilizing the network information through access to DELNET, INTERNET, OPAC etc.

Hostels: The college management & administration are aware that student’s hostel located inside the campus would facilitate better participation by the students in the co-curricular & extra-curricular activities, even long after the college working hours. Separate campus accommodation for boys & girls, in clean & hygienic ambiance amidst green surroundings with 24 hrs electric & water supply. Hostel accommodation is provided to all the girl applicants. In case of boys, allotment is done on 1st come 1st serve basis. So immediately after the admission is granted – the students should apply to the Chief Warden of the concerned College for seeking hostel accommodation. Students are welcome to visit & witness the facilities for their satisfaction. On an average 40% of the students stay in hostels; about 25% with their parents & relatives & the rest in private rented accommodation in the adjoining city habitats.

The Group has a full-fledged Placement division, which invites leading brands of the corporate world to our campuses every year, as part of our placement drive. Our annual campus-placement process is designed to meet the needs of recruiters and provide our students with the best opportunities to jumpstart their career. When the caps and gowns come off, you may be looking at starting salaries anywhere between Rs 3.0 lakhs to Rs 6.5 lakhs, annually depending on merit.
