Government Polytechnic, Yavatmal began its journey with the sole objective of meeting the long felt need of technical & educational programmes that would meet the challenges of the present & the future technical advancements of the fast changing world. GP Yavatmal was established in the year of 1964. It encompasses over 42 acres of land. This institute has been contributing to the industrial & economic development of our society since last 45 years & is poised to grow along with the times. This institute offers five 3 years full time diploma programmes. Institute is situated 4 kilometres away from central Bus Stand. Dhamangaon Railway station is nearly 46 kilometres from institute.
