Government Institute of Printing Technology is the premier educational organization of India, established in the year of 1956. Situated in the heart of Mumbai, Government Institute of Printing Technology has done pioneering work in printing education, since its inception. An influential number of students as skilled personnel have been absorbed by the Printing & Graphic Arts industry & they are heading different organizations & have contributed to their growth. The institute was awarded Academic Autonomy by the Government of Maharashtra in the year of 1995 - 96 vide GR No. 1094 / [2711] [161] [VE - 5 Dated 09 - 1-1995. This new status reflects the confidence & reputation it has built over the years, as a progressive education centre. The tremendous progress registered by the institute is mainly due to the dynamic leadership, Industry Institute Interaction, constant upgrading of curriculum & untiring efforts of staff & students.
