Government College of Engineering & Research, Avasari Khurd, established in the year of June 2009, by Government of Maharashtra, with an aim to spread technical education in the rural parts of Maharashtra in order to produce technically strong manpower by providing world class facilities & state of the art infrastructure. We not only concentrate on imparting technical education but also focus to inculcate social & moral values in our students so as to make them responsible citizens of India. This is achieved by providing different platforms to the students through which they can bring out their talents & nourish themselves. The college is located in pollution free environment & conductive ambience, about 65 kilometres North of Pune, on Pune - Nashik highway (NH - 50) & 65 kilometres from holy shrine Bhimashankar, in the land of Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. College campus is spread over 50 acre area with huge academic buildings along with a separate administrative & workshop buildings, a separate residential zone with quarters for faculty, staff & hostels. The college is approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi & it is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State, Mumbai controls institute through its Regional office at Pune.
