Datta Meghe Institute of Engineering, Technology & Research (DMIETR) was established in the year of 2008 with a vision to make an indelible mark in the field of engineering education & research. Named after the great visionary, Hon. Shri. Dattaji Meghe, it is situated in Wardha, a city which has its name etched in the books of History for its affiliation to the greatest leaders of the world, Mahatma Gandhi & Vinoba Bhave. In a short period of 7 years, it has created an innovative education & research environment. It has developed itself into an institution of quality & excellence in the field of technical education in the region. As a centre of learning dedicated to education, research & service, DMIETR maintains an environment of academic excellence & intellectual competence. As per the Strategic Growth Plan of the Institution, it will be establishing a Centre of Excellence in the domain of Bio - Medical Engineering & Mechanical Engineering. Recently, 4 Programmes of Institute have been accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), namely Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology & Computer Science & Engineering. It is located in a 15.2 acre campus in Sawangi (Meghe), Wardha about 80 kilometres from Nagpur, Maharashtra, India which is the geographic centre of India. Housed in 2 separate blocks (Administrative & Academic) in a total built up area of 21406 square metres, it has a modern architectural ambience. It is located away from the hustle and bustle of the city amidst serene surroundings in a self sustaining campus which has all the facilities such as Bank, Post Office, Shopping Complex, Temple, Ultra modern gymnasium & above all, an excellent academic ambience. It is very well connected by road, rail & air (via Nagpur) to all the major cities in the country.
