The premier self financing pharmacy institute of the state of Orissa Established in 1979.College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Berhampur, Mohuda is the premier pharmacy institution established in the year 1979 with D.Pharm and B.Pharm courses with an aim to generate technical human resource in the field of Pharmacy to handle the professional activities of dispensing of drugs by registered persons to meet the statutory requirements of section 42 of Pharmacy Act, 1948,  in this state in particular and in the country in general besides aiming to cater the growing needs of health services, to serve the pharmaceutical industry in excellent manner, drug control administration, and to update the pharmacy profession in Education and Research and other allied arenas to meet the clarion call of health for all.It’s aim is to stand out as a significant contributor in the realm of Pharmaceutical Research and trainingto develop new drug, formulation, and related skills with a special focus on the benefit of the people of the developing Countries of the World.

Eligibility :

M.Pharm : B.Pharm ( Gen. candidates 50% ,SC/ST candidates 45% )      

B.Pharm : +2 Science.The candidates must  have Physics and Chemistry  as compulsory subjects  along with one of the subject from Mathematics/ Biotechnology / Biology. The candidates should have passed individual subjects and must have obtained at least 45% marks ( 40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category). 

Admission Procedure :

• B.Pharm : Through Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE)
• M.Pharm : The candidate has to appear either in GPAT / PGAT for getting admission into M.Pharm courses.The admission procedure is controlled by Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE)

NOTE : Admission to B.PHARM , M.Pharm ( Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry & Pharmaceutical Analysis Quality Assurance ) for 2017-18 session is open through OJEE-2017.          

Infrastructure : The college is well equipped with excellent infrastructure of permanent buildings with state of Art facilities (Laboratories, Lecture hall’s Seminar Halls, Instruments Unit, Computer Unit etc) with all required additional amenities as per the AICTE, PCI norms. This is the only institute in the entire eastern belt to procure a world class FTIR spectroscopy from Perkins Elmer of Switzerland, besides having other Modern Analytical Instruments for providing a strong research base. The College is recognized as a model research center for the Ph.D programs by various Universities.

• Library : Well furnished Library with around 8300 books and more than 37 Journals ( National & International) / periodicals are provided with adequate reading room , internet access and Photo copy Facilities.
• Computer laboratory : A well furnished modern computer laboratory with 51 Computer systems out of which internet connection is provided to 25 computers
• Research and development : The college has received several financial assistance for the Research & Development activities from University Grants Commission under Major & Minor Research Projects from AICTE under R&D and MODROBS schemes respectively
• Cancer Chemotherapy Research Unit : For the first time in the state of Odisha, the college has successfully started Cancer Chemotherapy research Unit at the college under the able guidance of Prof. (Dr) A.U.De, A retired professor from jadavpur and an Internationally acclaimed Scientist .
• Academic merit awards : Academic merit awards are presented to outstanding Pharmacy Students every year during National Pharmacy Week celebration.
• Hostel : Permanent hostel building is available in Berhampur town besides other Hostel accommodations for boys & girls at sporadic spots in Berhampur town.

Training and placement

The students are sent to various Pharmaceutical Industries during the course work for a practical exposure and the placement is arranged through career counseling net works and campus interviews.
