Raajdhani Engineering College (REC), Bhubaneswar was established in the year 2006 by Samriddhi Educational Trust, Odisha, with a group of highly talented faculty members in the field of Education, Industry, Engineering and Technology over the years.The college is functioning at Bhubaneswar near Mancheswar Railway Station in a sprawling campus of 15 acres near the well known Mancheswar Railway Carriage Repairing Workshop, Govt. of India and 5km. away from world famous Nandankanan Zoological Park. The institute is well connected with road, rail and air. It is 5km. away from NH-5, 1km. away from Mancheswar Railway station and 8 kms from Biju Pattnaik International Airport, Bhubaneswar.The college is affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Govt. of Odisha and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

 Admission Procedure :

The Raajdhani Engineering College, Bhubaneswar has been set up in the year 2006 on a green patch of land in the city of Bhubaneswar. The college has been set up by Samriddhi Educational Trust, Rayagada which have credited of having vast experience in establishing and managing Engineering Colleges in the State of Orissa. The college has been approved by the AICTE, New Delhi and also affiliated to BPUT, Rourkela. The college has outstanding infrastructure and laboratories with artisan design and equipped with latest technological equipments and instruments.

 Hostel : The college offers excellent hostel facilities with in- house messing services for boys and girls separately. The students intending to stay inside the campus are given priority in hostel accommodation. Apart from lodging facilities, the campus hostel is provided with internet service, indoors and out door games and other entertainment facilities. The borders are strictly guided by the hostel superintendents to maintain study hours and no student is allowed to stay out of hostel after 7 PM without prior permission of the hostel superintendent. Hostels are monitored by the Principals and the Directors, so that the academic discipline and the personal discipline become a way of life for the young budding engineers.

Training and Placement Cell :

Training the students for different skill set is an important requirement. Thrust is being given imparting training to the students by the expert trainers at different stages of their academic carrier. In the first year, the students are exposed to spoken English and in second year they are given training in computer skill like C, C++. In the 3rd & 4th year students are given training in their relevant discipline as per the need and requirement. The training is imparted in GSM technology,. Net, Java and networking technology. Continuous skill up-gradation helps the students to face the placement interview.

Students are exposed for pre placement training on quantitative aptitude, logical Reasoning and in group discussion mock interview in the pre final year.Apart from the class room training, the students are taken on Industrial visit to different leading Industry in the state. REC students visited NALCO Angul, Paradeep Phosphate Ltd., Arati Steel, Nayagarh Sugar, Odissa Power Transmission greed. Students are also helped to undertake training in different industry matching the course curriculum for skill up - gradation. Thus training is a continuous process. The training inputs increases the competent level of the students so that they are able to steer through the competitive examination organized by the different companies for selecting right type of persons.The college engages expert training house in the country for competency mapping and assessing the gap between the existence skill and required skill. Training need is trailerd based on the assessment result. The students are also given information of the deficiencies and counseled on right approach for their self improvement and development.
