Prasad Institute of Technology has been established in 2002 by Prasad Educational Trust with an aim to impart excellent technical education in the field of engineering, technology, pharmacy & management. The institute insists on developing students into efficient technocrats in their selected pursuits by guiding them to build their insights abilities & way of right thinking. It is a major breakthrough in a highly dense & technically backward region of eastern UP. The aim of the institute is to make the region competitive with other part of the country by contributing to better socio-economic growth. The institute is approved by AICTE, Ministry of Human Resource & Development, Government of India, Government of Uttar Pradesh & affiliated to GBTU, Lucknow formerly known as UPTU, Lucknow. The institute is situated on the bank of river Gomti, 5 km away from Jaunpur city on Azamgarh Road & is spread over an area of 40 Acre. Jaunpur is 60 km from Varanasi & 100 km from Allahabad. It is well connected to other part of the country by road, rail & air.

Eligibility:

 

For B.Tech.:

  • The minimum academic qualifications for admission to B. Tech. are a pass in the final examination of 10 + 2 (Class XIIth) or its equivalent referred to as the qualifying examination. Subject combinations required in the qualifying examination for admission to B.Tech course.
  • Physics & Mathematics are compulsory subjects
  • Any one of the following optional subjects: Chemistry, Bio - Technology, Computer Science or Biology.
  • Students appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible for admission subject to the fulfilment of the requirements of education, age & physical fitness etc. as prescribed by the examining body during counselling / admission.

For M.B.A.:

  • Admissions are done to MBA by Admissions Committee through admission tests. Separate Combined Admission Tests are conducted each year, sometime in the month of May / June by bodies appointed by the government. These tests are called SEE - UPTU for admission to MBA. The unfilled seats are through open for direct admission on the basis of marks obtained in the graduation examination in accordance with directions of the State Government.
  • Application for direct admission by the Management is to be submitted by a candidate on prescribed application from. The institute brochure & application forms are available at the institute or the Head Office in jaunpur on payment of Rs. 100. Applicants must follow the procedure given below. Obtain the application form from the Institute on payment of Rs. 100.
  • Attach attested copies of mark sheets, certificates / degree of high school, intermediate & graduation, as applicable. Attach 2 recent photographs (Passport size). Successful candidate shall be required to deposit the fees immediately.

For M.Pharmacy: The minimum academic qualifications for admission to M.Pharmacy are a pass in the final examination of B.Pharmacy or its equivalent referred to as the qualifying examination.

 

Admission Procedure: 

 

For B.Tech.:

  • Admissions for B.Tech. are conducted by Admission Committee through admission tests. Combined Admission Tests are conducted each year, in the month of May / June by bodies appointed by the government. These tests are called SEE UPTU for admission to B.Tech.
  • The vacant seats are filled through direct admission on the basis of marks obtained in the 10 + 2 examination in accordance with directions of the State Government.
  • Diploma holders having 60% marks are eligible for direct admission to 2nd year through counselling by UPTU.
  • Admission against NRI & Vacant Seats: Application for direct admission by the Management is to be submitted by a candidate on prescribed application form. The institute brochure & application forms are available at the institute or the Head Office in Jaunpur on payment of Rs. 300.
  • Obtain the application form from the Institute on payment of Rs. 100. Fill all entries in the application form. Attach 2 recent photographs (Passport size). Successful candidate shall be required to deposit the fees immediately.

For M.Pharmacy: For admission in M.Pharmacy 1st year, candidates must have passed 4 year B.Pharmacy course from any recognize university, securing minimum 60% of marks.

 

Admission against NRI Vacant Seats:

  • Application for direct admission by the Management is to be submitted by a candidate on prescribed application form. The institute brochure & application forms are available at the institute or the Head Office in Jaunpur on payment of Rs. 100.
  • Obtain the application form from the Institute on payment of Rs. 100. Fill all entries in the application form. Attach 2 recent photographs (Passport size). Successful candidate shall be required to deposit the fees immediately.

Facilities:  

 

Library: It is a very important component in the infrastructure of an academic institution. It plays a key role in the overall development of a student of that institution. During College, library plays a vital role. Situated at the heart of the campus, library is open 10 hours a day during semesters & provides you with all the information you need when you need it. The surroundings are modern, comfortable & ideal for study & there are reading spaces available for both group - work & quiet study. The library is fully automated with TLS now houses about 25000 volumes of books; all the books are bar-coded. The library subscribes to about 50 National / International journals in print form, 95 in electronic through internet, 17 magazines & many important newspapers. A rich collection of CDs recognized & DVDs is also available for its users. The books in the library are classified according to the Dewey decimal classification scheme 22nd addition and catalogued in MARC - 21 formats & manual form both by AACR - 2. The library is a member of DELNET (developing library network). DELNET has about million catalogue records books, periodicals, articles etc. available in machine-readable form. The library automated & networked in order to provide efficient reference service to its user can access our library through internet / intranet.
