K.S. School of Architecture is nestled in a quiet location off the Kanakapura Main Road. K.S.School of Architecture is offering 5 year Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) Degree Course under VTU from Academic year 2015-16 with an initial intake of 40 students. The department has well equipped studios, seminar hall, material museum and library. Architecture has to do with planning, designing and constructing form, space and ambience to reflect functional, technical, social, environmental and aesthetic considerations. It requires the creative manipulation and coordination of materials and technology, and of light and shadow. Often, conflicting requirements must be resolved. The practice of Architecture also encompasses the pragmatic aspects of realizing buildings and structures, including scheduling, cost estimation and construction administration. Documentation produced by architects, typically drawings, plans and technical specifications, defines the structure and/or behaviour of a building or other kind of system that is to be or has been constructed.

Eligibility:

For admission to B.E./B.Tech. Courses: The student should have passed 2nd PUC 12th standard or equivalent examination with English as one of the languages & obtained 45% of marks in aggregate in Physics & Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology Computer Science / Electronics / Biology. In case of candidates belonging to Karnataka Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe & other Backward Classes (Category 1, 2A, 2B, 3A & 3B), the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination.

For admission to B.Arch: The student should have passed 2nd PUC 12th standard or equivalent examination with Mathematics as a compulsory optional subject & obtained a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in all the subjects in qualifying examination [45% of marks in case a candidate belonging to Karnataka Scheduled Caste. Scheduled Tribe & other Backward Classes (Category 1, 2A, 2B, 3A & 3B)] & should compulsory appear for NATA [National Aptitude Test in Architecture] & get a minimum of 40% in it (including SC, ST & other Backward Classes).
