Vidyavardhaka Sangha (R),Mysore, is a well-established Organisation in Mysore city committed to impart education to the downtrodden members of the society. Veterans like Late Sahukar Channaiah and Late K. Puttaswamy (Former Minister of Karnataka) established the Sangha during the year 1949. At present, the Sangha is under the able guidance of Sri. Gundappagowda, Hon. President and Sri. P. Vishwanath, Hon. Secretary.

Ever since its inception in 1997, Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering has been in continuous pursuit of excellence in imparting technical education. It has established itself as an institution where academic excellence and creative thinking go hand in hand. The mission of Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering is to sustain a community of individuals who are dedicated to the achievement of excellence and who share a vision related to Engineering, Management and Science. Each course at Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering adopts a comprehensive and unified approach calling for rigorous study in a variety of fields both within the discipline and other related areas. Thus the student is prepared with a thorough understanding of science and technology related to his discipline and its implications.

Eligibility:

For BE :

• Passed in 2nd PUC/12th STD/ Equivalent Exam with English as one of the Languages and obtained a Minimum of 45% of Marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Biology/ Electronics/ Computer. (40% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates).
• Qualifying rank in either CET or COMEDK entrance test.

For M.Tech :

• The minimum aggregate percentage in eligibility examination (Bachelor’s degree, BE/ B.Tech) for admission is 50% for GM and 45% in case of SC/ST; and qualifying rank in either PGCET/GATE is a must.
• Out of the total seats, 80% is filled through KEA and 20% through Management.

For MBA :

• The minimum percentage in eligibility examination (Bachelor’s degree BBM/B.Com/B.Sc/BA/BE, etc) for admission is 50% for GM and 45% in case of SC/ST; and qualifying rank in either PGCET/KMAT/CMAT is a must.
• Out of the total seats, 50% is filled through PGCET by KEA and 50% through Management.
• Invitation of applications for filling Management seats in MBA/M.Tech will be done sometime during July/August.

Training & Placement :

VVCE continues to impart quality education with a goal to create “engineers” with strong technical knowledge and has been successful in preparing students to industry standards. The Training and Placement department (TAP) of VVCE fosters the best training programs with a view to equip both UG and PG students with necessary skill set such as aptitude and problem solving skills, interview skills and soft skills required by the industry and assist them to draw their career path. A full-fledged department with excellent infrastructure like well equipped seminar halls, individual interview panel rooms, group discussion rooms, facilities for online tests supports every stage of the placement process and also the training activities. The Training and Placement department (TAP) is an integral part of VVCE connecting students of BE, MTech and MBA, and also the faculty members of all the departments. The department works in close co-ordination with Department Placement Coordinators (DPC), comprising of both students and faculty members chosen from individual departments. TAP dept strives to connect industry and institute through various programs such as student internships, industrial training, industry visit, technical talk by industry delegates and many more. The dept is in close association with various reputed companies and continues to coordinate with esteemed recruiters to enhance placements at VVCE.  When we say we impart education with a purpose, we mean that we wish to prepare our students, that the industry likes to absorb. The placement Centre provides and arranges programs on career guidance, aptitude tests, mock interviews and group discussions to assist students chalk out a career path. The center is in touch with many hardware, software companies, mechanical and information technology industries for placement of potential candidates. We work on a industry-feedback methodology, where the industry gives us feedback on the performance of our earlier students, and which in turn, is used to modify the existing teaching practices.
