Surya Group of Institutions (SGI) is promoted by Surya Bux Pal Charitable trust. In 2005 Shri Jagdambika Pal established Surya Bux pal charitable trust in Lucknow, for promoting technical & management education. Shri Jagdambika Pal Chairman, Surya Group of institution was born in Basti District of Eastern U.P. He graduated from Lucknow University in 1970, did L.L.B. from Gorakhpur University in 1973 & completed double M.A. in History & Political Science in 1980 & 1982 respectively from Avadh University. Philanthropist with enthusiasm, he joined politics & served his state as a member of the congress party. He was elected as M.L.C. twice, from 1981 to 1993 & MLA thrice from 1993 to 2007 representing Basti Vidhan Sabha constituency. Elected in 2009, he is currently member of parliament from Dumariyaganj (sidharth Nagar) constituency. His other portfolios include State Minister, Cabinet Minister & Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. He served as President of U.P. congress committee in 2003 - 04 & President - U.P. Olympic Association, Lucknow.

Admission Procedure:

U. P. State entrance examination (UPSEE).

Central Admission Board (CAB): The entrance examination for degree level engineering institution & other colleges has been assigned top Gautam Buddh Technical University, Lucknow vide Govt. order no. 4260 / solah - 1 - 2009 - 13 (7) / 09 dated 18-01-2010. The Govt. of Uttar Pradesh, Technical Education Department, has consented for the constitution of central admission board (CAB) under the chairman ship of the vice chancellor, Gautam Buddh Technical University, Lucknow to supervise and control the Estate Entrance Examination herein after referred as UPSEE being conducted by Gautam Buddh Technical University, Lucknow. The CAB has absolute rights for conducting of UPSEE & to decide about modalities of admission & allotment of seats. The jurisdiction of CAB extends to college / institutes affiliated to UPTU , Lucknow & MTU, Noida. The CAB is authorized to take every decision regarding conduct & admissions through UPSEE.
