The lack of any specialty hospitals in rural Davangere often had people going to Bangalore and Belgaum seeking special treatment. Also the NH4 passing by Davangere was the site of many traffic accidents, necessitating immediate medical care. SSIMS & RC was set up with the vision of being a Stage 4 referral hospital, and a Central Regional Hospital that takes care of the medical needs of the geographical area.The world is constantly changing, and educational methods need to change with it, especially in the field of medicine. SSIMS & RC is devoted in developing a critical, self-reliant and inquiring approach to medicine, flexible enough to prepare the student for the evolving future, without forgetting the value of traditional means and practices.

Eligibility:

MBBS :

The candidates qualified in 10+2 / equivalent examinations with Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology & English are eligible. The candidate aged should be between 17 years of age to 23 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission.

Postgraduate Degree :

• Candidate should have obtained MBBS Degree from a MCI recognized institution.
• Candidate should have completed one year compulsory rotating internship after passing the final professional examination before 30th April of the Academic year.
