Sri Ranganathar Institute of Engineering and Technology (SRIET), was incepted for the upliftment of the rural youths as the progress of any nation depends upon the education of its youth. With organized activity and maintained enthusiasm, a loyal and efficient work is being done for the great cause from world-class engineering and technological education. Usually, people put trust in money but our founder Sri. V.Narayanasamy has put his money in Trust and started SRI Institutions with a view to enlightening the rural and urban youths with world class engineering and technological education as it polishes good nature and corrects bad ones becoming assets for the poor and ornament for the rich, adding survival value and value to survival.One machine can do the work of many ordinary men but no machine can do the work of an extra ordinary man. Needs are great, but possibilities are greater. It is not wide reading, but useful reading that leads to excellence and there is nothing remarkable as learning how to think better as thoughts are the architects of one’s destiny.

SRIET provides everything one could wish for. People don't care much you know, until they know how much you care. We care and share, no one understand their dreams. It is a long journey but the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Observation more than books, experience rather than persons are the prime educators. Education means inspiring the minds, not just filling their heads.“Old order changeth yielding place to the new” You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete. That’s what is being done in SRIET. The secret of our success is constancy to purpose, self-trust, conviction, sustained efforts.

Other Activities : 

• NSS National Service Scheme : National Service Scheme, focus on the development of personality of students through community service. We have one NSS unit in our campus. There are 50 volunteers headed by 1 NSS program Officer functioning in an elaborating manner. We had done different activities based on the guidelines given by Anna University.
• Physical Education : SRIET has excellent sports and recreation facilities in campus, with dedicated facilities. The Department of Physical Education has an infrastructure for all the indoor and outdoor games. Activities are carried out throughout all calendar month of the year timing from 06.00am to 07.00pm in all days
• Sports- Facilities : It has sufficient facilities for both Field events and Indoor games for the students to practice and to conduct the Inter-Collegiate tournaments, Intramural Sports and Coaching campus. One Soccer Field, one Cricket Ground, one Cricket pitch for net practice, three Tennis Courts, one Volley Ball courts, one Ball Badminton court, one Kho-Kho court, one Kabaddi court and one Tenni-koit court. are available in the campus for Student to train themselves.
