Admission to MBBS and BDS courses in the constituent colleges, namely, K.S. Hegde Medical Academy and A.B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, respectively, during the year 2017-18 offered by the Nitte University is based on inter-se Merit in the All India computer based Entrance Test for UG courses, NUUGET – 2018, conducted by the Nitte University. 

Nitte University, Mangaluru, a deemed university u/s 3 of UGC Act 1956, invites online applications for the All India Under Graduate Entrance test, NUUGET 2016 from eligible candidates.

Eligibility:

For MBBS: Candidates who fulfill the following criteria shall be eligible to appear for the Entrance Test, namely:

• Applicants must meet all the requirements stipulated by MCI / DCI from time to time.
• To be eligible for admission to MBBS course, a candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology at the qualifying examination. In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes or other Backward Classes the minimum marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology taken together in qualifying examination shall be 40%.
• To be eligible for admission to BDS course, a candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying examination. In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes or other Backward Classes the minimum marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in qualifying examination shall be 40%
• Must be 17 or more years of age as on 31-12-2017
• Must be a citizen of India. 

NUUGET 2017 Intake and Fee Structure: The present Total Intake is indicated below (CET+NRI+NUUGET)

• MBBS (4 ½ years + 1 year Internship) -150 Seats
• BDS (4 years +1 year Internship) - 100 Seats
