Nestled in Qutab Institutional Area, International Management Institute (IMI), New Delhi was established in 1981 in collaboration with IMI Geneva (now IMD, Lausanne). IMI is India’s first corporate sponsored Business School with sponsorship from corporate houses like RPG Enterprises, Nestle, ITC, SAIL, Tata Chemicals, BOC and Williamson Magor etc. Over a period of time in the last 33 years the Institute has acquired a truly global status. The Institute received UNDP assistance for promoting internationally oriented management education. IMI follows international standard curricula in its programs, which has been enriched by its academic collaborations with International Institute for Management Development (IMD), Lausanne (erstwhile International Management Institute, Geneva); Faculty of Management, McGill University, Montreal, and Manchester Business School, U.K, which prepares participants to successfully manage and lead in an increasingly global business environment. Eligibility:

PGDM/ PGDM (HRM)/ PGDM (B & FS):

• Education background: To be eligible for admission to the PGDM Program, the participants must possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or equivalent in any discipline, from a recognized university in India or abroad (recognized by the UGC / Association of Indian Universities), however, final selection may be on higher percentage based on the total number of applications received. The bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years education, after completing higher secondary schooling under the 10+2 system or equivalent. Candidates appearing in the final year of their bachelor’s degree or equivalent are also eligible, provided they furnish the proof of having met the minimum eligibility criteria by September 30, 2016. Candidates who are unable to comply with this requirement may be asked to withdraw from the program. It is desired that candidates complete all academic requirements before joining the program to enable them to keep pace with the rigor and internal assessment schedule of the program.
• Participant profile: Participants for the PGDM program may be from any discipline such as Engineering, Humanities, Commerce, Economics, Medicine or any other branch of education. Candidates with relevant work experience as also fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Executive PGDM:

Candidates, who fulfill the following requirements, are eligible to make an application for admission:

• Educational Background: To be eligible for admission to the Executive PGDM Program, the participants must possess a Bachelors degree or equivalent recognized by the Association of Indian Universities with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks. The bachelors’ degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years education, after completing higher secondary schooling under the 10+2 system or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of full time, post-qualification, experience as on March 31, 2016.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Participant Profile

Program is open to individuals from all nationalities and applicants could be:

• Self-Sponsored candidates
• Company Sponsored from Private/Public Sector/Government Department
• Entrepreneurs and those from Family owned businesses
• Non-Resident Indians/ PIOs working for an organization or enterprise
• Defense Personnel who have retired or will be retiring shortly
• International Professionals from any country

FPM:

• The candidates for the programme must have one of the following qualifications obtained from any of the universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India, or other educational institutions established by an act of parliament or declared to be deemed as a university under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, or an equivalent qualification from an institution approved by AICTE. The degrees of candidates from foreign universities must be recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Similarly, the PGDM of Indian Institutions must be recognized as equivalent to MBA by AIU or approved by AICTE.
• A Masters’ degree or its equivalent in any discipline with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks

OR

• A Bachelors Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade point average plus minimum of one year’s work experience.

OR

• Any professional qualifications such as CA, CMA and CS with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks. CA/CMA/CS must also possess a graduation degree from a university recognized by AIU.
• In addition, all the candidates must have secured a minimum of 55 % marks in all of their public examinations starting with the secondary level. Work experience in industry or academics will be given due credit in the selection process.

Admission

• Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria are required to take Common Admission Test (CAT) held by the IIMs. Scores of CAT taken on or after 01 July, 2014 will be considered valid for admission to the session of 2015. Alternatively, the candidates could appear in GMAT or the test conducted by IMI for the programme. The recently qualified JRF/SRF candidates can also apply in the relevant areas of specialization but they would need to appear in the test conducted by IMI. Please note that all Indian candidates who do not have a CAT score will have to appear for either GMAT or IMI internal test (which will be held only at IMI, Delhi). NRIs and foreign candidates will also need to appear in the CAT/GMAT/or IMI internal test.
• Based on the scores obtained in CAT/GMAT or IMI internal test, evalution of past academic performance and relevant work experience, candidates will be called for an interview for final selection.
