Facilities

Library: GGI gives a tremendous enabling environment for research and is indeed the 'room for the birth of ideas'. The library is a major magnet for students as not only does it offer a variety of academic information, it also stimulates the intellectual pursuit of students in a lovely ambience. The library is open from morning till late evening and even till midnight during examinations. Apart from books on technical subjects related to discipline and courses, it houses books of general interest magazines, and daily newspapers. Well equipped with more than 70 journals in print, both national and international, the library supports the research needs across varied disciplines.

There is membership of library for the students and staff through which they can access 24 hours library services, GGI has registration with various online journals and books which can be accessed through given ids and passwords. Along with it has a different newspaper section where students can update and aware themselves by availing the facility of reading the newspapers of various languages in the library. Management of GGI is very supportive and provides various platforms to the staff for their research work, it is encouraged to the faculty for keep doing and improving their professional skills with utilization of the facility of research work.

Hostel: The Institute is a completely residential campus with hostel facility for over 500 students, including separate hostel for girls. Hostel blocks have reading rooms and separate dining halls which serve different cuisine. All rooms in hostels have been provided with high speed broadband and Wi-Fi internet connectivity. The accommodation is single-seater and 2/3 seater shared type. Moreover well established cafeterias are there in different corner of the campus to cater the hunger with delicious and hygienic food items. The college is equipped with a fully functional mess to serve hygienically prepared food to the staff and students. It is run by the Management under the guidance of the Principal and Mess Manager. A separate seating arrangement is made for both boys and girls. Mess charges are collected on a semester basis at the time of admission. The mess is spacious with a dining hall and kitchen, Once a student joins the hostel, he / she is deemed to have become a member of the mess until he / she vacates the hostel officially, Menu will be displayed on the notice board. Changes can be made based on the decision of mess committee.

At GGI, a large percentage of students drawn from different parts of the country share space and happily co-exist, sharing their hostel space, we take extra care in ensuring that no one is playing foul. GGI campus offers separate on-campus accommodation for boys and girls. Strict discipline is maintained in all hostels to ensure safety and security of GGI students. The resident warden of each hostel takes care to see that all student needs are met in a timely fashion. Hostels provide a salubrious ambiance and are equipped with all the modern-day amenities. Students experience complete intellectual stimulation and balanced growth in such an environment.

Transportation: A fleet of 20 buses and many college vans are available for commuting the students to the college and back on the co-operative payment basis. In addition, College owned cars and a mini bus are available full time in the campus.

Sport: Our physical fitness and good health infrastructure - Basketball Court, Football Ground, Cricket Ground, Volleyball court and some indoor games, etc. - is amongst the very best in the region With a view to develop the all round personality of the students, the GGI administration is committed to give plenty of opportunities to students in sports as well as other extracurricular activities. We encourage our students to excel at all sporting events. This is GGI's eagerly-awaited, sports festival where the students get to participate in a range of outdoor and indoor sports. Our aim is to create as many opportunities for students as possible to ensure their all-round development in the classroom as well as on the field. 

Training & Placement

The Training & Placement team is fully equipped to handle presentations, pre-placement talks, group discussions and all types of interview sessions. T&P team handles the entire process and paperwork related to recruitment drive at GGI. Placement department keeps in touch constantly with the students to know about the strength and weakness of them based on the feedback of the companies and suggestions regarding corrective measures are given back to students. At GGI Students’ employment and training is facilitated through the Training and placement Department. The Department has student representatives from all classes of all streams, among whom a Student Coordinator is elected. The Student Coordinator interacts with the Placement Coordinator for the daily functioning of the Department.

The T&P Department invites companies, either individually or as a group by organizing activities like on-campus drives, pool campus drives, job fairs, placement week and off campus activities at company nodal centers.Department organizes various activities for sharpening the skills of individual’s, Personal Interviews tips, mock session, group discussions and expert lectures on interview skills and resume building including Do’s and Don’ts of an interview process. During the years January, 2013 to December,2015 more than 250 companies visited the campus for recruiting the students in the areas of Manufacturing, Marketing, Software development, Programming, Web designing, Embedded Systems, Design, Infrastructure and various other fields. The students are working in amongst the best companies in India like Rural Electrification Corporation Limited (A Government Of India Enterprise), Honeywell Automation, Amazon, Unisys, HCL, L&T Finance, Global Logics, Asahi India Glass Ltd, ACC Ltd, Coca Cola, Metro Tyre and many more.
