About Us:

 

GZS Campus College of Engineering & Technology, MRSST University, Bathinda is the first institute in Punjab established by state government in the year 1989 when the hon’ble Governor of Punjab Sh.S.S.Ray laid the foundation stone on 23rd October, 1989. Initially set up as Government Engineering College, it was converted in to an autonomous institute in the year 1992 and a “Board of Governors” (BOG) was constituted to manage the affairs of the College. This college was made a campus of Punjab Technical University in 2011. Now the campus is a constituent college of newly setup Maharaja Ranjit Singh State Technical University, Bathinda and is recognized by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) & Council of Architecture. The institute provides an excellent academic environment under the able guidance of well-qualified and highly dedicated faculty.

 

GZS CC MRSSTU, Bathinda has the distinction of being the oldest degree level technical education institute established by Government of Punjab with the operational control of Board of Governors headed by the Hon’ble Minister of Technical Education, Govt. of Punjab. This institution has been engaged in shaping the destiny of budding engineers ever since it came into being in the year 1989. The College has a magnificent infrastructure spread over an area of 162 acres, which has been witnessing continuous developments since last seventeen years. This College is an excellent education centre with state of-the-art laboratories, computer centre, library and workshops. The college is continuously striving hard to achieve excellence in imparting good technical education with the help of its highly qualified and dedicated faculty, which is considered to be the best in the region. The mission of the institute is to create sustained learning environment of acquiring technical knowledge and translating theoretical knowledge into practical applications.

Facilities:

 

Transport: Transport department has two 52 seater buses, which are used for transport of students from Bathinda city and these buses are used for educational and industrial tours. College has two staff cars, which are used for Principal, faculty and staff for official work. Department has one ambulance which is used during emergency for shifting of sick students or staff for medical aid. Following officials may be contacted for any type of transport facility

 

Medical Facility: The College has fully equipped OPD. It is six bedded, 24 hours dispensary with qualified medical staff for routine, emergency cases. Medicines are provided free of cost to students.College also maintains an Ambulance for the convenience of students, faculty and staff during emergency.

 

Hostel: There are total five hostels for the students out of which four for boys and one for girls. The total numbers of students presently residing in the hostels are 1000.

 

Hostel Rules:

  •  All the hostellers’ are directed to abide by the following rules:
  • Do not involve in any offence and illegal activities. Do not owe any thing to any other mess / hostel of the campus.
  • Do not keep / bring any unauthorized guest / friend / classmate (Day Scholar) in your allotted room / hostel.
  • Pay your mess / hostel dues regularly and well within the stipulated time period to avoid any fine.
  • Keep your allotted room and furniture etc. intact throughout your stay in the hostel.
  • Do not consume any intoxicants (Liquor, Cigarette, Drugs or any other similar things) in hostel premises.
  • Reside in your allotted room and do not make mutual interchange of the room with fellow hostlers.
  • Your room is allotted either only for the current academic session or up to 30th June of the academic session whichever is early. Vacate the room accordingly in time.
  • Keep your room in lock and key & put off the lights whenever you go out of your room even for short duration to avoid any theft. Do not keep any valuables in your room & do not handover the keys to anyone.
  • Do not provide any wrong information or suppress any information to seek admission in the hostel.
  • Do not use electric kettle, room heater, water immersion rod etc. in the room.
  • Do not park unauthorized vehicles in the hostel and do not leave the station / hostel without making entry in the register.
  • Always keep your Hostel Identity Card with you especially when you go out of the hostel / campus.
