Sensing the ever - growing need for competent & highly trained professionals endowed with rich business acumen, skills & aptitude to operate in the highly complex & fast - changing economic & industrial environment, the ‘Harish Chandra Vidyalaya Society’, an educational body, registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, established an academic institute, Harish Chandra Post Graduate College, in Varanasi with an avowed mission of imparting highly innovative business management & pharmacy education in the eastern part of India which was expected to be the need of the hour with the country’s economy heading so fast towards globalization. The post graduate college is Govt. aided college with various subjects at UG & PG level including Commerce, Arts, Science & Law etc. with a collective student strength of more than 8000. Faculty of Management & Technology is one of the constituent units of Harish Chandra P.G College which came into being in the year 2002 with the fundamental objective of achieving excellence in the field of Management & IT education. The institute is currently running a 2 year full time M.B.A. course duly approved by All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi & affiliated to U.P. Technical University, Lucknow, together with 3 year full time B.B.A. & B.C.A. courses affiliated to MG. Kashi Vidyapith, Varanasi. Eligibility:

For B.B.A. / B.C.A.:

• Pass in 10 + 2 from a recognized Board / University in any stream with minimum of 40% marks.
• Intake = 60 Seats

Admission Procedure:

For B.B.A.:

• Admissions on various seats in B.B.A. are filled on the basis of the Entrance Examination conducted by the College every year in the month of June - July under the guidelines of Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith University & U.P. State Government.
• Fees = Rs. 30,000/- per annum

For B.C.A.:

• Admissions on various seats in B.C.A. are filled on the basis of the Entrance Examination conducted by the College every year in the month of June - July under the guidelines of Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith University & U.P. State Government.
• Fees = Rs. 36,000/- per annum

For M.B.A.:

• Admissions on Normal Seats in M.B.A. is made through Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) held every year in the month of April - May followed by counselling conducted by the U.P Technical University from amongst the students declared successful in the said examination. The eligibility criteria for appearing in the UPSEE Examination for the M.B.A. course are determined by UP Technical University & U.P State Govt. from time to time basis. • Admission on the lapsed seats left after UPSEE & Management Quota are filled through candidate appeared in CMAT / MAT / CAT with a valid scores followed by Group Discussion & Personal Interview along with a minimum of 50% marks at 10 + 2 + 3 or Graduation Level. The criteria for admission on such seats are directed by guidelines of AICTE & UPTU & are subjected to change from time to time basis.
• Intake = 60 Seats
• Fees = Rs. 56,000/- per annum

Facilities:

Library: The institute has a rich & well - equipped library with the latest editions of the books from renowned authors & publications. The library subscribes to a number of newspapers, Indian & foreign journals, periodicals & other documented materials for the students to develop their awareness about national & international affairs & to get an insight into the modern management practices. In addition to these, a well - established audio - visual library of tapes, CD’s & slides are also maintained for widening the knowledge of students. The library also proposes to connect to facilities like DELNET & OPAC.

Hostel: The Institute provides the hostel facilities in very scenic & comfortable environment for the outstation students, separately for boys & girls, on actual cost sharing basis. Each hostel room is equipped with necessary amenities like table, chair, wardrobe etc. The hostel also has recreation facilities along with facilities for indoor games. It also offers Mess facility within the premises offering tasty & hygienic food to the outstation students.

Placements:

The Institute takes the onus of placing the students at organisations where they could be paid unto the maximum of their calibre. A full-fledged ‘Training & Placement Cell’ having a dynamic team of teachers & students, work to approach the organisations. The Institute has a successful placement record for its pass out batches. Campus interviews are arranged within the campus on time to time basis for providing the opportunities to the students. The institute is also associated with some leading placement agencies & portals for providing placement opportunities to students in companies of repute.
