The New Education Policy of 1986 had recognized the need for a statutory Body at the National level responsible for overseeing the growth & quality of Technical Education in the country. Accordingly the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) was established by an Act of Parliament (AICTE Act No. 52 of 1987) in 1987. As a part of its programmes and activities, the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) was set up by the AICTE in September 1994, for the purpose of assessment of Quality & Accreditation of Technical programmes in India The NBA is also concerned with assessing & assuring the quality of the various constituent elements of the Technical Institutions, such as academic ambience, infrastructure, financial resources, physical resources, human resources, supporting systems like library resources, computational resources & avenues to mould & develop the students’ personality & learning characteristics.

Eligibility:

For B.Tech:

• 12th  PCM  with 50% marks, without grace.
• Duration = 4 Years Degree Programme
• Intake = 180 Seats

For B.Tech (Lateral Entry):

• 3 years Diploma or B.Sc. (PCM), with 60 % Marks
• Duration = 3 Years Degree Programme
• Intake = 15% seats of total intake

For B.C.A. / B.B.A.:

• 12th in any discipline with 45%
• Duration = 3 Years Degree Programme
• Intake for B.C.A. = 240 Seats
• Intake for B.B.A. = 120 Seats

For M.Tech:

• B.Tech. / Equivalent degree
• M.C.A. / M.Sc. degree in related branch with 60% marks.
• Duration = 2 Years Degree Programme
• Intake = 18 Seats

For M.B.A.:

• Graduation in any discipline with 50% Marks
• Duration = 2 Years Degree Programme
• Intake = 120 Seats

For M.C.A.:

• Graduation in any discipline with 50% Marks and math at 10+2/Graduate level.
• Duration = 2 Years Degree Programme
• Intake = 60 Seats

For M.C.A. (Lateral Entry):

• B.C.A. or B.Sc. (IT / CS) with 50%
• Duration = 2 Years Degree Programme
• Intake = 60 Seats

For Diploma:

• 10^th with Science
• Duration = 3 Years Diploma Programme
• Intake = 60 Seats

Facilities:

Library: The library is planned to house 4 sections: The Reference Section, The Stock Section; with reading room facilities, The Educational Resource Section & the Book Bank Section. The entire library is planned to be air conditioned with seating space for about 500 students. At present we have sufficient books by different authors of specialization offered by BIT under MTU / GBTU.
