About Us:

 

B.N.M Educational Institutions was established by the trust Bhageerathi Bai Narayana Rao Maanay Charities in the year 1972. The Managing Trustee Shri. N. Raghunath Rao Maanay along with Prof. Sunanda P Jadhav the founder Secretary and Principal founded the institution with a focused vision to impart value based quality education irrespective of social, financial or religious status. Prof. Sunanda P. Jadhav strived to provide education at affordable cost especially to the girl child and her unstinted efforts yielded highly commendable results.From a humble beginning the BNM group of Educational Institutions is now a leader in the field of education, providing the most modern education while maintaining the rich cultural heritage of the great India. Education starts at BNM offering Montessori system to Tiny Tots at the tender age of two and half years in the BNM Montessori House.BNM is an amalgam of Educational Institutions consisting of BNM Montessori House, BNM Primary School (State Syllabus), BNM High School (State Syllabus), BNM Public School (Central Syllabus), BNM PU College, BNM Degree College and BNM Institute of Technology.

Eligibility:

 

For B.E:

  • Admission for the first year of the course shall be open to the students who have passed the two years Pre-University Examination (Science) conducted by Karnataka State Pre-University Board. Or 10 + 2 School Programme of the Central Board (CBSE / ICSE) New Delhi with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematical as optional subjects and English as a subject of study Or Those who have passed any other examinations recognized by the University as equivalent there to.
  • Candidates other than those from karnataka are required to obtain Eligibility Certificate from VTU, Belgaum.
  • The Eligibility norms are periodically fixed by VTU with all relevant details of Academic Eligibility, Recognised Equivalent Courses for admissions to UG Courses as well as PG Courses and Institutions recognized for eligibility. For MBA:

  • Graduates of Commerce, Arts, Science, Business Management, Law, Agriculture and Engineering disciplines who have obtained minimum aggregate of 50 percent of marks are eligible to seek admission to MBA Programme.
  • Interested students are required to look out for advertisements in leading newspapers for PGCET / K-MAT Entrance Test announcements. Any one entrance test of PGCET / K-MAT / CAT / MAT is a must for admission. 50% of the seats will be allocated based on the Karnataka State PGCET scores through Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) counseling.
  • The remaining 50% of the seats coming under the management quota will be allocated on the basis of the ranking in K-MAT / CAT / MAT / PGCET. The undergraduate aggregate score will also be considered for merit.
  • Application and prospectus can be obtained in person or through post by sending a DD for Rs. 500=00 drawn in favor of ‘The Principal – BNMIT’, payable at Bangalore.

Hostel:

  • The boys hostel located close to the institution is well equipped to accommodate about 150 students with facilities like home away from home. All the students are provided with a Study Table, a Chair, a Cot and a Cup-board for comfortable stay and studies. The mess is well equipped with stainless steel kitchen equipments and other facilities. A residential warden stays at the hostel to take care of the needs of the students all the time. A 24 hours security is provided at the hostel for the safety of the students.

Library: The completely automated Library Management System has made it easy to all its activities through Bar-Code interface with an EPAC facility. The Digital Signature Pad is the unique one in its Circulation Section to obtain signature for every documents that are being issued to its members. All the documents have been classified as per AACR II of Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) and systematically shelved on Open Access. The modern Library & Information Centre provides uncompromising information and intellectual requirements to its students and faculty members with a user friendly approach. It offers a fully integrated and dynamic environment for conducting academic study. Multiple copies ensure that resources are easily available in Reference Section and Circulation Section as well.  The Digital Library is set up by using open source Dspace Software to access the Institutional Repositories like e-books, e-journals, faculty publications, etc, by the students and staff members. Also, NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning) facility is provided across the campus through the institute local network for unlimited access to Video Lecture and Web courses of eminent faculties from IISc and IIT’s in Engineering and Science subjects. In addition to this students and faculty members can access its peer contents directly from NPTEL website. The Library & Information Centre has the IIM Library Membership enabling MBA students and faculty members for refer to the other member libraries for additional information for their research/projects. To cater to the wide range of information services to the users, BNMIT Library & Information Centre has well qualified, rich experienced and trained competent staff comprising 9 Professional staff members with an aim and vision to make the Library & Information Centre the best Knowledge Resource Centre among Engineering colleges Libraries in the state.

 

Placement:

 

The Department of Training and Placement of BNMIT is an active centre throbbing with various activities all through the year.  The institute has complete infrastructure for effective functioning of the department. A well organized Placement Department is working with a fulltime Director who continuously monitors the employment potentials and arranges the campus placements for the students. The faculty and student coordinators from all the departments also support the smooth running of the placement process.
