Aligarh College of Engineering & Technology is one of the premier Institutions in the field of Technical & Management Education. It has been formed by Jawahar Vidyalay Society., on no profit basis with a firm determination & commitment to foster a holistic approach towards the development of Engineering & Management Education. The Trust was formed in the year 2000 & the Institute was established in the year 2001. It has been approved by All India Council of Technical Education & affiliated to Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (Formerly U.P. Technical University) Lucknow. At present it is imparting MBA, MCA & B.Tech Courses in different disciplines. Also running BBA & BCA courses (Affiated to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra).

The Institute distinguishes itself from other colleges & Institutes due to its holistic approach & unique foresighted planning in providing technical & professional education with the state-of-the-art techniques. The main objective of an Institute is to generate a bunch of highly creative professionals, who can contribute not only in the Human Resource Development but also in the Nation Building Exercise. Facilities:

Library: The institute has a selection of more than 15,000 books of Indian & foreign author with approximately 2,000 titles. There are more than 100 journals of national & international editions including e-journal. The library is fully air-conditioned with internet connection for accessing e-journals & other sites of interest. The library catalogue is accessible on the internet to check the availability of books on shelf. The library is fully automated with library management software system. Large numbers of books are available in the reference section covering a wide range of subjects. The section is augmented regularly with latest arrivals. The library is an exclusive member of DELNET, the British council library, AIMA, IETE, IEI & the INDEST (Indian National Digital Library in Science & Technology).The INDEST consortium of e-journals enables student to refer to a complete range of IEEE journals online. To facilitate self-study, an air-conditioned reading room with flexi-timing is provided where students can carry their own study material.

Hostels: The College provides well furnished hostel accommodation to its students. Separate hostel facility is available for boys & girls both. Each hostel / complex has its separate mess with well equipped kitchens & dining area providing hygienic, nutritious & wholesome meals. Hostels have gymnasium as well as indoor & outdoor sports facilities. The hostels also have a TV room & library with magazines, fiction & general reading books. Hostels are also equipped with eco-friendly solar water heating systems. Hostels also have canteens & provision stores for minor item of daily requirement. The hostels thus provide reasonable levels of comfort, hygienic food, recreation facilities & an environment conducive for pursuit of academic & all round development.

The placement department is one of the most proactive & functional department of ACET & maintains a gamut of information regarding career opportunities for final year students. The department is geared up to provide its quality service not only in providing employment to students but also their employability through well planned & organized training & personality development programs in the process of their development to face the corporate world. With a view to bridge the gap between industrial requirements & academic curriculum, experts from diverse technical fields are invited to impart to the students the practical input necessary for preparing themselves as future professionals. In its endurance to impart quality education & practical knowledge, ACET sends its students for industrial visits. Strong industry-institute interaction is the motto of ACET & is considered to be the most essential element to mould the graduates as industry adaptable products. The institute is associated with many industries like LG Electronics, Moser-bear, IIHT Ltd, Motorola, UTL Technologies, S-cube Ltd. etc. The success of the cell is evident from its alumni who occupy positions at some of the best companies.
