Eligibility

For B.Tech: 10+2 or any other examination recognized equivalent by Board of Secondary Education , Rajasthan, with at least 45% marks and compulsory subjects should be Physics and Mathematics. From any recognized Board.

For B.Tech (Lateral Entry): Diploma with 45% in relevant Branch

For M.Tech: Admission to the Master of Technology Course shall be open to candidates possessing not less than 55% (6.25 CGPA on 10 points scale and equivalent) and 50% (5.75 CGPA on 10 points scale and equivalent) in case of SC/ST in qualifying examinations under following categories

• The candidates who have passed B.E. / B.Tech. Examinations (in related branch of engineering) of RTU or any other recognized University / Institution or any other examinations recognized as equivalent thereto by competent authority
• Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognized by UGC/AIU/UPSC/AICTE (e.g. AMIE by Institute of Engineers (India); AMICE by Institute of Civil Engineers (India); IEE) as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech.
• Candidates having M.Sc., MCA and are seeking admission to certain M.Tech. programmes should posses valid and qualified GATE score of the relevant branch.

For Diploma in Engg:

• 12th Science Vocational/ Technical
• 12th class pass from any recognized Board with Physics Chemistry & Maths as Compulsory Subject
• I.T.I. in relevant Branch

Admission Procedure

For M.Tech:

• Candidates seeking admission to M.Tech. in Engineering Colleges affiliated/constituted to Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) on the basis of valid and eligible GATE Score and merit in UG Programmes.
• Candidates who are appearing in qualifying examinations in the academic session 2012-13 are also eligible to apply for M.Tech. admission provided they fulfill eligibity criteria. However, they are required to submit marks sheet of qualifying examination as per schedule positively failing which their candidature shall be cancelled.
• A candidate must ensure that he / she is eligible for admission to various technical institutions of Rajasthan affiliated/constituent to RTU before filling up the M.TECH.-2013 form. If a non-eligible candidate is admitted due to any reason then the admission of such a candidate will be cancelled as soon as the mistake is detected even at later stage.

Facilities

Library: The Library responds to the varying needs of the students of Engineering and MBA fraternity as well as the faculty members to select acquire and access the books. Specialized collections of books, journals, novels, technical papers and informative CDs are available in the different fields of education. Facility to play these CD and copy the required material from these CD is available to students and staff. Internet asses and down load facility is available to the students at different site and to the faculty in cubicles in the library. Printing and Photo copier shop corner is also available in the college library.

Class Rooms: SGI boasts of air cooled, highly ventilated and spacious classroom which have a very special learning environment. The classrooms are well fitted with LCD projectors, white boards and good audio- video system that enable students for conducive learning.Most of the classrooms have a seating capacity of 80 students at a time with comfortable and stylish seating facilities.

Computer Center: SGI campus boasts of one of the best computing networks in any of the college in Rajasthan. It is highly equipped with State-Of-Art facilities, which has earned a reputation of excellence. Its comprehensive infrastructure includes 5 Servers, 200 Workstations, 10 Printers/SCANNERS and over 20 Laptops (Dell,HP,IBM & Lenovo).

Sports: Keeping in view that a healthy mind resides in a healthy body; Sunrise Group Of Institution creates the maximum possible facilities to promote the spirit of sportsmanship. Sports lounge at SGI has various indoor and outdoor games facilities like Table-Tennis, Carom, Chess, Basket Ball, Volley Ball, Cricket and other board games. Institute has excellent sports facilities for all outdoor and indoor games and adequate emphasis is given on all round growth and development of students. Institute has well maintained cricket grounds. Volley ball courts, Basketball court, Lawn Tennis Court and Badminton court are available for students. A multi-gym exercise has been provided to the students. Indoor sports equipments viz. table tennis, chess etc. are also part of the sports facilities.

Training & Placement Cell

While academic programmes and curricular reforms help in improving the employability of graduates, it is the 'Training and Placement Cell' (T & P Cell) of the institute, headed by a Professor, that facilitates campus recruitment processes. Reputed industrial organizations and establishments visit the Sunrise Group of Institution's campus for recruiting the students. Besides taking care of marketability of student-products of the institute, the T & P Cell creates opportunities for students to improve their personality and improve their soft skills by organizing various career-development seminars, group discussions, tests and mock interviews.

A separate unit called Counselling and Career Guidance Cell has been established in the campus to perform personal counselling to students and provide guidance in choosing careers suiting their ability and interest. An Industry Institute Partnership Cell (IIPC), headed by a Professor, is in continuous interaction with industries located in and around Udaipur, Rajasthan and brings them closer to provide a platform for wider discussion on topics related to current expectations prevailing in industries.

Placement and Training Department is also providing necessary Pre-Placement Training for the pre-final year students in the form of Pre-Placement talks arranged of various industries / corporate, training from the seniors on nature of the written test being imparted and process of interview of different industries. Placement Department also regularly organizes talks from the various professionals from different universities for pursuing higher education in abroad and talks from trainers for taking competitive exams like CAT, GMAT, and Aptitude etc. Further, 'Endowment Lectures' by eminent speakers have been instituted by Public Sector Banks and Industrial Organizations for creating awareness among students on current state of development in thrust areas of national interest.
