In the year 2000 NIIS Group of Institutions was christened under the agies of Nilachal Education & Management Trust (NEMT). The vision is to impart quality professional education propelled the inception of NIIS Group. With a motto of providing value based technical and professional education in the field of IT, Management & Social Work. NIIS INSTITUTE OF INFORMATION SCIENCE & MANAGEMENT (NIIS) started its voyage in 2000 which is recognised by Govt. of Odisha and Affiliated to Utkal University, Vani Vihar, Bhubaneswar.

 

NIIS JUNIOR COLLEGE a constituent of "NIIS Group" came into force in the year 2007 to impart quality education in +2 Science & Commerce streams duly recognised by Govt. of Odisha & Affiliated to CHSE, Odisha.NIIS INSTITUTE OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (NIIS.) established under the same aegis to provide MBA - 2 year full time, MCA - 3 year full time & MCA - 2 year full time ( Lateral Entry) course duly approved by AICTE and affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Odisha.

 

The state of the art infrastructure of the Institute is fairly well developed with adequate modern facilities to provide practical training to the students in all streams. The students are also given rigorous training for Personality Development, Communication & Soft Skills etc. to make them fit for the Placement.NIIS Group boast of an integrated campus having 70000 Sq.ft. built up area, separate academic building for under graduate and post graduate students, in-campus hostel for boys and girls, canteen, guest house, auditorium , open-air theatre compliment the lush green eco-friendly, wi-fi campus of NIIS

 Eligibility :

 

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) : To be eligible for admission to this 3year fulltime BBA course a student should have completed 10+2 from any discipline.

Eligibility: +2 Passed in Arts / Science / Commerce or equivalent.

 

Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) : To be eligible for admission to this 3year fulltime BCA course a student should have completed 10+2 from any discipline having Mathematics/Business Mathematics or Statistics in +2.

Eligibility: +2 Passed with Mathematics/Business Math/Statistics

 

Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) (BSc. (Comp. Science)) : To be eligible for admission to this 3year fulltime BSc(Computer Science) course a student should have completed 10+2 in Science Stream.

Eligibility: +2 Science

 

Bachelor of Science(Information Technology & Management)(BSc. (ITM)) : To be eligible for admission to this 3year fulltime BSc (Information Technology & Management) course a student should have completed 10+2 in Science Stream.

Eligibility: :+2 Science

 

Master of Finance & Control (MFC) : To be eligible for admission to this 2year fulltime MFC course a student should have completed 10+2+3 or graduation in any stream having aggregate 50% marks. (For SC/ ST students 45% in aggregate required for Admission).

Eligibility: +3 Passed with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST)

 

Master of Arts (Personnel Management & Industrial Relations)(MPMIR) : To be eligible for admission to this 2year fulltime MPMIR course a student should have completed 10+2+3 or graduation in any stream having aggregate 50% marks. (For SC/ ST students 45% in aggregate required for Admission).

Eligibility: +3 Passed with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST)

Fees :  

 

Institute charges fees for different courses as per Government norms.At the time of admission, the student is required to pay the Registration Fee, Admission Fee & Partly Course fee as finalized by the Institute.The rest amount to be paid within the time period stipulated by the admissions department.The day scholar students who have opted for transportation have to pay the Transportation Fee Rs. 10,000/- or as prescribed from time to time. Increased costs due to fuel price hikes will be recovered from students as and when such increases occur.

 

Students can pay the fees as per following options.

  • Option 1: Payment of fee in full at one stretch.
  • Option 2: Payment of Annual fee in 2 installments.

Fees can be paid by DD/cheque in favoring respective colleges, payable at Bhubaneswar.

 

All fees are payable in INR Only.

 

The students who have opted for hostel have to pay the Hostel Fee Rs. 40,000/- or as prescribed from time to time.

 

Late Fee :

  • Students whose fees remain unpaid in full/part will not be allowed to sit for the examination. Until the outstanding fees are received, no internal examination results, reports, Transfer Certificates or recommendations to future schools/ colleges will be issued to the student or parent.
  • If the fee is not paid even after 3 fortnightly reminders, the student's name shall be struck off from the institute records. For balance amounts, if any, the school shall resort to legal recourse.

Refunds/Withdrawals :

  • Students wishing to withdraw should give at least one semester's notice (Aug-Dec/Jan-June). Fees pertaining to the semester falling in the notice period shall be payable by the student.
  • Registration Fee, Admission Fee, and Linen cost are Non-Refundable. Admission fee is refundable only if the student withdraws the admission in writing before commencement of classes.
  • All refunds will be paid after obtaining clearance certificate

  • Class Room : The main features of the classrooms are: Fully Air Conditioned, Audio & Visual Aids, Lecture Recording, Sound proof, Maximum Interaction, Laptop Connectivity, Liquid Crystal Display, Over Head Projectors.
  • Soft Skills Lab : The Institutional Soft Skill lab plays a vital role in developing the pre-requisite for a successful corporate career. The exclusive design and the right mix of teaching and training processes of the soft skills using lab helps the students to add new dimension to their personality.
  • Computer Lab : The air conditioned computer laboratory is fully networked with its required softwares as needed by the students of Management & Computer Science.
  • Conference Hall : NIIS has fully air conditioned Auditorium, conference hall and meeting room equipped with all the latest gadgets and gizmos to provide a world class presentation. Students can use the audio visual aids of the media room and can conduct effective presentations, meetings and seminars for 25 to 300 people.
  • Seminar Hall : Periodic Seminars & Guest Lectures are conducted by inviting academicians, eminent persons & practicing professionals where students get an opportunity to interact closely with them and understand the practical application of various concepts.
  • Transport Facility : NIIS runs a fleet of busses to help students and staff members commute to and fro from regions around the city. The bus service is available over a 25km radius around the institute. A nominal fee is collected for the transportation on a yearly basis.
  • Canteen : We believe that a healthy mind lives in a healthy body. NIIS has an in house modern canteen functioning in the campus, which can conveniently accommodate a good number of students at any time.
  • Library : The NIIS Library with its modern collection of knowledge resources and innovative information services fills an essential role for students, faculty, and the surrounding community in their intellectual pursuits.
  • Faculty : The Institute has a group of qualified and experienced core faculties who are experts in their fields. There is provision for guest/visiting faculty as and when required from different institutions of repute.
  • Hostel : The Institute provides separate accommodation for both boys and girls within the campus. The campus incorporates cafeteria & canteen in close proximity to the departments, library and classrooms to facilitate easy access. All rooms are well-furnished and equipped with basic facilities. For availing such facilities the student must submit his preferences for accommodation early in the process of admission.

Training and Placement Cell :

 

The Institude has set up a placement cell for providing suitable career opportunities and for keeping continuous interaction between professional world and the academic institutions. A good number of Industrial organizations have offered opportunities to our students for project guidance, industrial training and placement.Our placement cell also provides Personality Development Programme along with training on interview techniques,communication skills, GD, Mock Interviews, preparation of resume etc.for our students with the arrangement of internal and guest faculty from other institutes and industries. Periodic industrial tours are arranged to provide industry exposure and interaction with professionals Our students have till now undergone Summer Training/Project Work at various organizations of repute such as NALCO, TISCO,BAJAJ AUTO, NIC, BSNL, ICICI,HDFC,LG Electronics,Reliance Industries, Mrf,Airtal, P & G, OPGC, Amul, PPT,IMFA, HCL etc.
