Objective :

• to serve interalia as an institute of higher learning & research for the advancement and dissemination of knowledge in all types of technical education and training in the state of Odisha and within the territory of India.

Admission Procedure:

Admissions into  B.Tech courses are through the Central Admission Committee and Entrance Examination JEE (E&M) conducted by the Government of Odisha and All India Engineering Entrance Examination[JEE (Main)],erstwhile AIEEE. In addition,20 percent of the intake capacity in each branch of B.Tech courses is filled up on lateral entry basis in the third semester.

Admission to M.Tech is through PGAT examination coducted by the Government of Odisha and through GATE.

Hostels :

BIET hostel is a home away from home. Here students stay in a healthy atmosphere and perfect living conditions along with friends to share the precious moments of life.There are four separate hostels for boys and girls with all modern amenities to help the students in concentrating on their studies. Besides, PCs with Internet connectivity (Wi-Fi) is also provided in the hostels.

Each Hall has a mess of its own managed by the boarders through their elected representatives and a mess manager under the guidance of Hostel Superintendents.Each hostel is equipped with a T.V. room with cable connection, a common room with indoor games facilities & Incoming telephone facility to make the stay of the inmates comfortable and enjoyable. Hostels are also provided with 24hour bacteria free water supply facility.

Training and Placement Cell :
