Army Public School (APS) is a system of public schools established for imparting education to the children of the Indian Armed Forces personnel. It is one of the largest chains of schools in India controlled by the AWES (Army Welfare Education Society). Army Public School Bangalore is a co-educational Institution founded in the year 1980. The School encourages every student to devote his/her life to give dedicated service to humanity. School started with just one section of class VIth with 12 boys and 01 girl in the year 1980 under the AWWA scheme. The school believes in awakening the young mind to think who they are and where they are going. Army Public School is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education. It prepares the students for the All India Secondary School Examination (Class X) and the All India Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XII) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. Army Public School has Junior NCC Wings for Boys and Girls separately with 100 cadets each respectively.
