South Asian University Entrance Exam (SAU)

About SAU:

 

Applications are invited for admission to various Academic Programmes offered by the South Asian University in its third academic session to commence from July 2018.Admission to SAU will be through an entrance test that will be held simultaneously in all SAARC countries.

 

In order to promote regional cooperation and inculcation of regional consciousness amongst students of South Asia, a South Asian University (SAU) was established in July 2010 jointly by the eight SAARC Member States. The University is currently located in Akbar Bhawan, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi, but its own campus will come up in a few years on an 100-acre plot of land in South Delhi. Through a SAARC Inter-Governmental agreement, degrees offered by SAU are recognized in all SAARC countries.

Eligibility:

 

M.A:
Sociology:
3-year bachelor’s degree from any discipline in Social Sciences/Humanities from a recognized University with at least 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade.


Development Economics:
3-year bachelor’s degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade plus Mathematics as a subject of study at 12th Class or Bachelor’s level. Although previous background in Economics is not a requirement, applicants will be examined at undergraduate level economics in the entrance test.


International Relations:
3-year bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University with at least 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade.

 

M.Sc:
Biotechnology:
3-years Bachelor’s degree in Basic Sciences ( Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry & allied subjects) / Agriculture and allied sciences / Veterinary and allied sciences / Engineering (Biotechnology / Biochemical Technology / Biomedical Engg. / Chemical Engg.) or the MBBS degree, from an institution recognised by the government of the respective SAARC countries, with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade. Students, who have not studied Biology at Bachelor’s level, must have studied and passed Biology as a subject at 10+2 (12th Class) level.


Computer Science:
3 or 4 year bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or relevant area from a recognized University, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade.


International Relations:
3-year bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University with at least 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade.

 

LLM: LL.B. degree from any recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade.
