Law School Admission Test (LSAT)


LSAT—India is a standardized test adopted as an admissions criterion by multiple law colleges across India. LSAT—India measures skills that are considered essential for success in law school. LSAT—India is specially created for admissions to law schools in India by the Law School Admission Council, USA (LSAC). The LSAC has been helping law schools in several countries evaluate the critical-thinking skills of their applicants for more than 60 years.

A Single Common Test for Multiple Law Colleges:

Candidates have the benefit of taking a single test – the LSAT—India – to become eligible for the admissions process of multiple law colleges in India which recognize the LSAT—India scores. Candidates can take the LSAT—India on any of the test centres spread across 16 cities in India.

LSAT-India Eligibility: 

LSAT is a standardized test of reading and verbal reasoning skills designed by the USA based Law School Admission Council (LSAC) for use by law schools in India? The LSAT—India will be administered across 16 Pearson VUE test centre locations in India and at select overseas Pearson VUE test centre locations. The test will be administered in a paper and pencil format in India and in computer-based testing (CBT) mode at overseas locations.

LSAT -INDIA Test Pattern:

The LSAT—India is a paper-and-pencil test with four sections. Two of the sections contain logical reasoning questions; one section contains analytical reasoning questions; and one section contains reading comprehension questions. The amount of time allotted for each section is 35 minutes. There is one 15-minute break between section 2 and section 3. All questions are in a multiple-choice format, some with four answer choices and others with five. Answers are collected on a scannable answer sheet. The total duration of the test is 2 hours and 35 minutes including a break of 15 minutes?

Chandigarh, Dehradun, Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow

South: Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi

West: Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Mumbai, Pune

East: Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Raipur, Ranchi

Registration fee for LSAT-India:

For candidates testing within India is Rs.3500. For candidates testing outside India, the registration fee is USD 150. Registration for the LSAT—India is online and can be done by submitting the form on the LSAT—India website. Payment for the registration by test takers in India can be done online (via credit card only) or through a demand draft. The demand draft should reach the below mentioned address or either by post or courier.
