Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET 2018)

About Us:

 

Applications are invited from eligible candidates of Karnataka including the wards of Jammu and Kashmiri migrants for registration to the Common Entrance Test 2018 to Professional Courses detailed herein under for the seats to be notified by the Govt in the Professional Educational Institutions in the State for the academic year 2018-19.

 

KCET 2018 Entrance Exam is conducted by the Karnataka University for the candidates those who are interested for the admission in medical, engineering and dental professional undergraduate programs. This is a state level exam conducted in Karnataka and all the candidates those who fulfill for KCET Exam 2018 the eligibility criteria can give the exam at the various centres available.

 

KCET Selection Procedure: The selection will be on the basis of their performance in KCET 2018 Exam and out of them the shortlisted candidates will be allowed to attend the KCET Counselling in which the seat will be allotted to them on the basis of their score in KCET Exam.

 

KCET Exam Pattern: The KCET 2018 Entrance Exam will be consisting of three sections in total. All the question asked in the exam will be only from three subjects, i.e., Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics. There will be a total of 180 questions asked in the exam. Each section will be of 60 marks each and the timing for each section will be 80 minutes. The candidates will get 1 mark for every correct answer and no negative marking will be done for any incorrect or multiple marked answer.

Eligibility:

 

Pharma-DMedical / Dental (MBBS / BDS): Passed in 2nd PUC/12th standard with English as one of the languages and obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (40% for SC/ST/CAT-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates)

 

Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy, Yoga (ISM&H): Passed in 2nd PUC/12th standard with English as one of the languages and obtained minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (40% for SC/ST/Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates)

 

Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech): Passed in 2nd PUC/12th standard with English as one of the languages and obtained a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Biology/Electronics/Computer (40% for SC/ST/Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates)

 

Architecture (B.Arch): Passed in 2nd PUC/12th standard with Mathematics as compulsory optional subject and obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in all the subjects (45% for SC/ST/Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates) Minimum of 40% marks in NATA for all categories of students including SC/ST/OBC

 

B.Sc (Agriculture, Forestry, Sericulture, Agri Biotech, Horticulture), B.H. Sc (Home Science): Passed in 2nd PUC/12th standard with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects

 

Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc & A.H.): Passed in 2nd PUC/12th standard and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects (40% for SC/ST/Cat-1, 2A, 3A and 3B category candidates)

B-Pharma: Passed in 2nd PUC/12th standard /equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in PCM/PCB (40% for SC/ST/CAT-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates); or Passed in Diploma in Pharmacy Examination from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act and has secured minimum of 45 marks. (40% for SC/ST/CAT-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates)

 

B. Pharma (2nd Year): Passed in Diploma in Pharmacy Examination from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act and has secured minimum of 45 marks. (40% for SC/ST/CAT-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates)

 

Pharma-D: Passed in 2nd PUC/12th standard /equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics; or Passed in Diploma in Pharmacy Examination from an institutions approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.
