Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati was established in 1954, in the world famous temple town of Tirupati on the sprawling campus of 1000 acres with a panoramic and pleasant hill view. This University stands as a testimony to the wisdom and foresight of great visionaries Late Sri Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu, the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and Late Sri Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy, to cater to the educational needs and aspirations of the people of Rayalaseema area. With a great wisdom, the founder of this University has rightly coined the motto “Wisdom lies in proper perspective” for it. The University has grown excellently from strength to strength over the past fifty-two years, as a premier institute of higher learning under the table and committed leaderships of successive Vice-Chancellors starting from Prof. S. Govindarajulu to the present Vice-Chancellor Prof. N. Prabhakar Rao. It has gone through greater strides in the transformation of the University with acquiring necessary and modern sophisticated instrumentation to catch up with the world competition in academic and research programmes. 

 

Test Paper Information:

 

The Test is designed to evaluate the candidate’s ability and aptitude to pursue the study of Law. The Test consists of three parts. Total number of questions will be 120 and the duration of test is 90 minutes Maximum marks are 120.

  • Part – A: Consists of 30 question carrying 30 marks: General Knowledge and Mental Ability
  • Part – B: Consists of 30 question carrying 30 marks: Current Affairs
  • Part – C: Consists of 60 question carrying 60 marks: Aptitude for the Study of Law.

LL.B. / B.L (3 years)
LL.B. / B.L (5 years)

 

Eligibility:

 

LL.B / B.L. (3 year): The Candidates for 3 year LL.B. /B.L. should have passed any Graduate Degree (10+2+3 pattern) of a recognized University with 45% of aggregate marks or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the Universities concerned.

 

LL.B. /B.L. (5 Year): The Candidates for 5 year LL.B. / B.L. should have passed two year Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) with 45% of aggregate marks or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the University concerned or the Board of Intermediate Education, A.P.

 

Note: There is a relaxation of 5% of marks in the above qualifying examinations for 3 year / 5 year Law course in favour of the Candidates belonging to SC / ST.

  1.  A Candidate appearing for the above qualifying examinations may also take the LAWCET in anticipation of results. In case of such students, their entry shall be subject to their securing eligible marks in the said qualifying examinations.
  2. The applicants who have obtained 10+2 or graduation / post graduation through open Universities system directly without having any basic qualification for prosecuting such studies are not eligible for admission into the law courses.
  3. Age on admission: Subject to the conditions stipulated by the Govt. of A.P., on this behalf, the maximum age limit for a candidate seeking admission into the 3 year and 5 year LL.B / B.L Course shall be Thirty Years (relaxable by five years in case of SCs/STs) and twenty years (relaxable by two years in case of SCs/STs) respectively as on 31st December of the year of seeking admission.
