The Institution was established in the year 1986 at Barpali, the Birth place of Late Genius poet "Gangadhar Meher” by an eminent and enlightened governing body with member of divergent abilities to meet the challenges of health care education and to carter the need of rural population in particular. The Institute has aimed for development of Pharmacy professional in the society. The Institution is affiliated & approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi, Odisha State Board of Pharmacy, Odisha, Sambalpur University, Odisha, & Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela, Odisha.The Pharmaceutical College, a pharmacy Institution aims at imparting quality pharmacy education and Programme and forging the youth in to formidable force to carter the need of the nation “Health for All” over a period of two decades, it has come to symbolized truest sprit of dedication to the task of maintaining a standard of pharmacy education which can be started as being second to none.The Pharmaceutical College, Barpali is imparting Degree and Diploma courses in Pharmacy with intake capacity 60 each. The Institute also offers 2 years PG course in Pharmacy (M.Pharm) in three specializations ‘Pharmacognosy’, ‘Pharmaceutics’ & ‘Pharmacology’ with intake capacity of 10, 18 & 18 respectively.

Admission Procedure :

D.PHARM : The admission procedure for D.Pharm course is followed as per the D.Pharm selection committee appointed by Govt. of Odisha and it is carried out by the convenor, Dept. of Pharmacology, SCB, Medical College, Cuttack by counseling. Presently, 50 % of total approved seats will be filled by State Govt. and balance 50% seats are filled by the college on strict merit basis. The date of request and submission of application, merit list, closing date of admission and starting of the academic session are as per the guidelines of state Govt. of Odisha.

B.PHARM : The admission procedure for B.Pharm course is followed as per the JEE guidelines conducted by JEE- Odisha. Seats are allotted on strict merit basis and the date of request and submission of application, final result of tests, admission list & acceptance by the candidates and closing of admission are in accordance with the test agency (OJEE). The starting of the academic session is as per the guidelines of the affiliating University (BPUT).

M.PHARM : The admission procedure for M.Pharm course is followed as per the PGAT guidelines and conducted by them. Seats are allotted on strict merit basis and the date of request and submission of application, final result of tests, admission list & acceptance by the candidates and closing of admission are in accordance with the test agency (PGAT). The starting of the academic session is as per the guidelines of the affiliating University (BPUT).

• Hostel Fee : Rs. 7,200/- Per year

B.PHARM : 

• Tuition fee as per Govt. Rule : Rs. 40,000/- Per Year
• BPUT Regd. Fee : Rs. 3,000/- One Time
• BPUT Exam. Regd. : Rs. 3,000/- Per Year
• Transport Fee : Rs. 6,800/- Per Year
• Hostel Fee : Rs. 6,000/- Per Year
• Total Fee : Rs. 58,800/- Per Year

D.PHRM :

• OSBP Regd. Fee : Rs. 1,050/- One Time

Hostel Facilities :

Separate well-furnished hostel for 100 boys and 60 girls are provided by the Institute with all basis amenities. The girls’ hostel is in the campus and accommodate all girl students admitted in different courses. Twenty (20) no of rooms with attached latrine & bath to accommodate three in each room is provided for the purpose. Presently, two boys’ hostel operated in Barpali town, one is at old campus of the college and another one on rental basis to accommodate 100 no of boys’ students under the supervision of the institute.
