The philanthropic orientations of Dr. Mansukh Shah motivated him to initiate a modest beginning in the shape of K.M.Shah Charitable Trust in 1981. The Trust initially engaged in providing Dental Healthcare services. The backbone of this initiative was an untiring and a relentless zeal of its founder Dr. Mansukh Shah who is a philanthropic medical professional. His committed enterprise and professional vision led him to make a foray in healthcare education. In the mid nineties, Dr. Shah turned his attention to growing challenges in professional healthcare education. This motivated him to set up K.M.Shah Dental College & Hospital in 1999. The focus gained momentum with the launch of College of Physiotherapy in 2001. These initiatives were furthered by a foray into general healthcare services with the establishment of Dhiraj General Hospital and Smt. B.K. Shah Medical Institute & Research Center in quick successions in 2002 and 2003 respectively. Sumandeep Nursing College was established in 2006.

The Professional vision continued to probe diversified educational needs of the society and as a result The Sumandeep School of Pharmacy and The School of Management were launched in quick succession in 2007 and 2008 respectively. 1200 bedded Dhiraj General Hospital, 350 chairs Dental hospital, state of the art Learning resource centre. The zealous pursuit of professional dream and vigorous industry of the trust culminated into the authentication of the Sumandeep Vidyapeeth on 17th January, 2007 as a Deemed to be the University u/s 3 of the UGC Act 1956. With this status the educational programmes of the Sumandeep Vidyapeeth enjoy the recognition of the UGC. Sumandeep Vidyapeeth has the distinction of being the only Deemed University of the State of Gujarat under de novo category. Sumandeep has acquired this status on the Strength of introduction of path breaking healthcare education and training delivery system namely Evidence Based Education System (EBES). Sumandeep as a socially responsive institution is committed to healthcare education and training, research and philanthropic in-house and outreach practices. All India Post-Graduate Medical-Dental Entrance test- 2016 (AIPGET- 2016) 

Eligibility:

PG Admission to Medical and Dental Programme at:

(A) SBKS MEDICAL INSTITUTE & RESEARCH CENTRE, VADODARA.

• MD/MS/PG Diploma in all Pre, Para & Clinical Specialities except Forensic Medicine.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. The candidate must be an Indian National.
2. The candidate must have passed M.B.B.S. Examination from a recognized Medical College and should have obtained registration either from the Medical Council of India, New Delhi or State Medical Council after completion of one year rotating internship training. 
3. The candidate undergoing one year rotating internship training and likely to obtain final registration certificate from the Medical Council of India, New Delhi or State Medical Council on or before 1st March, 2016 can also appear for the Entrance Test. Such candidates will be required to submit a certificate from the Principal/ Dean of the College regarding the likely date of completion of their rotating internship training failing which their application will be treated as incomplete and shall be rejected. 

(B) K.M. SHAH DENTAL COLLEGE & HOSPITAL, VADODARA

• MDS in All 9 Branches

Eligibility Criteria: 

1. The candidate must be an Indian National.
2. The candidate must have passed B.D.S. Examination from a recognized Dental college and should have obtained registration either from the Dental Council of India, New Delhi or State Dental Council after completion of one year rotating internship training.
3. The candidate undergoing one year rotating internship training and likely to obtain final registration certificate from the Dental Council of India, New Delhi or State Dental Council on or before 1st March, 2016 can also appear for the Entrance Test. Such candidates will be required to submit a certificate from the Principal/Dean of the College regarding the likely date of completion of their rotating internship training failing which their application will be treated as incomplete and shall be rejected.

International Admissions: 15% of the seats allotted for each specialty are reserved for Foreign Nationals/Persons of Indian Origin/Non-Resident Indians. The candidate in this category will have to appear for AIPGMDET- 2016.

The Application form and brochure can be obtained (a) from university offfice or (b) by downloading till 28^th November, 2015 from university website and is to be submitted along with Demand draft of Rs. 3500/- (Form fee + Test Fee). The Application form obtained from university office after 28th November, 2015 is to be submitted along with demand draft of Rs. 4000/- (Form fee + Test fee + Late fee) in person at admission call by 3^rd December, 2015 upto 6 p.m.
