THE SEEMANTA INSTITUTE OF PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES, a leading Technical Institution in the state of ORISSA which strategically located at Jharpokharia in the district of Mayurbhanj at the confluence of N.H.5 & 6 situated at about 30 kms from Baripada, the District Headquarter of Mayurbhanj, is approachable by road from all parts of state of Orissa and from outside states via Jamshedpur, Kharagpur & Balasore. The campus of the college is surrounded by serene villages and green meadows, the place provides an excellent venue for academic pursuits .The Seemanta institute of pharmaceutical sciences was established is 1982 by Seemanta Mahavidyalaya Samiti. The Samiti, setup since 1978 is responsible for developing, Jharpokharia in to an educational complex with five institutions namely :

Eligibility :

B.Pharm :  

• Pass in 10+2 examination of CHSE.
• Orissa or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and one from Mathematics / Biotechnology / Computer Science / Biology.Central counseling .e-counseling vacant seats are filled up by OJEE-2016 rank holders

B.Pharm(Lateral entry):  

• Passed or appearing in Diploma in Pharmacy with atleast 60% marks in aggregate from  OSBP examination.
• Admission through JEE Orissa conducted by State Govt. Odisha /Biju Patnaik University of Technology , Rourkela. Students outside Orissa are not eligible for Lateral Entry.

D.Pharm :  Passed 10+2 Science from a recognized board / council

M. Pharma : Rank are made by PGAT test conducted by BPUT . Centarl councelling are conducted by BPUT

Facilities :

Hostel : The College provides well furnished hostels separate boys and girls in the premises to accommodate 200 boys and 50 girls are there with all amenities. Diploma hostel with an intake capacity of 30 students have been provided. The student boarder have been provided with all sorts of facilities for in-door and out-door games. Internet Facility : The college has installed its own VSAT in order to provide 24 hours Internet facility to all the students and staffs of the college. Modern Computer laboratry with LAN connection (55 Nos Comp.) with 24 hous Internet facilities for the exposure of Students to website, Multimedia and Recent development in Pharma fields.

College canteen : The college has a spacious canteen and a soft-drink parlour within the campus. The canteen provides good quality nutritious food through out the year.

College Guest House : The College has own guest house with well furnished room .The guest house is only provided to the guest lecturer form other University and Gudians

For Convenient Money Matters : The importance of bank in day-to-day life cannot be underestimated. To facilate college Students, Gurdians and out siders of SIPS has housed Bank of India SIPS extension Counter with ATM facility at ground floor of the Guest house of the College

Training and placements :

The Institute has a well-organized & placement Cell to guide the students in all matters Related to training as well as placement.The Cell looks after the personality development through group discussion, Mock Test,Grooming and Seminars periodically. It also organizes in-campus and off-campus interview for the students in continuous process. The Cell is headed by Prof. Bikash Ranjan Panda (H.O.D, Pharmaceutical Chemistry).It is our privilage to state that we have been able to organize in-campus interview for the students by Which we able to organize in-campus interview for the students in order to place our student in many top most pharmaceutical companies like M/S Ranboxy Pvt.
