Raja College of Engineering and Technology, Madurai is run by Arun Ramkumar Educational Trust. Thiru V.S.P. SOLAIMALAI PITCHAI is the Chairman of the Trust, who is also chairman of Solaimalai group of companies. Mrs. P. Kalavathy is the Secretary of the Trust. The College started functioning during the academic year 1995-96 with the approval of All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and Government of Tamil Nadu and Affiliated to Anna University Chennai.The College is located in a sprawling campus around 6 kms from Anna Bus stand on Madurai-Sivagangai road.
