Eligibility:

For B.Tech:

• Candidate should have appeared JEE (Main)-2018.
• Candidate must have passed 12th Science Examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with the percentage of marks/Percentile as to be decided by the Government of Gujarat (GoG) under the rules of admission.

For M.Tech. (Regular)

• A student seeking admission to any Programme must fulfill the following criteria:
• He/She should have passed the qualifying examination of Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology from a recognized university with minimum 50% of marks as prescribed by the AICTE from time to time or equivalent cumulative grade point index, OR
• He/She should have passed any other qualifying degree / diploma examination considered as equivalent by Nirma University with minimum 50% of marks as prescribed by the AICTE from time to time or equivalent CPI. For admission to any of the M. Tech programmes in academic year 2018-19, minimum 50% marks (or equivalent) is required as of date.

• For calculation of aggregate marks, results of semesters, based on which class of the degree is awarded, will be considered. Candidates who have appeared for the final semester qualifying examination may also apply. The results of such applicants have to be submitted to Member Secretary, PG-ENGG. immediately on declaration of result, which should be on or before 30 days of commencement of semester. Failing to do so the admission is liable to be cancelled. However such candidate has to produce a certificate from the head of the Institute certifying that he / she has already appeared for exam.
• Any candidate who has not appeared in final semester examination at the time of counseling for admission will not be considered for admission. For sponsored category the applicants must have at least 2 years of experience in the related field after passing qualifying examination on the last date of submission of application. He / She should produce certificate from the sponsoring organization in the Proforma provided in the application form along with experience certificate, last pay certificate and provident fund slip. Applicant, who has applied for Sponsored category but having total experience less than two years on the last date of submission of application, will be considered as non-sponsored applicant and has to appear for written test. Such applicants will be given admission based on merit of written test.
• Applicants having results in terms of CPI, have to produce certificate from the concerned University regarding equivalent percentage of marks, on which class is awarded for degree.

For M.Tech. (By Research) 

• There will be two categories of candidates for admission to M. Tech (by Research) as under:

1. Full-time
2. External

• A candidate seeking admission to M. Tech (by Research) in any of specialized area must fulfill the following criteria:
• He should have passed the qualifying examination of Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology from a recognized university with minimum 50% of marks as prescribed by the AICTE from time to time or equivalent cumulative grade point index, OR he should have passed any other qualifying degree/diploma examination considered as equivalent by Nirma University (with minimum 50% marks or equivalent cumulative grade point index). The candidates who are applying as External candidates should also have minimum working experience of three years after graduation. They will also be required to submit a ‘No Objection Certificate’ from their employers for taking up this programme.
• The University will invite applications from the candidates through advertisement in the press or in the website. Candidates, who intend to register for M. Tech (by Research) have to apply in a prescribed Performa. If there are more number of applications received than available seats then, entrance test shall be conducted followed by an interview by a committee consisting of the Dean of the Faculty of Technology and Engineering (FoTE), concerned Head of the Department and concerned faculty member (who has proposed a research area and who will be guiding student on admission). After interview by the committee, and on the recommendation of the committee, admission will be confirmed on payment of prescribed fees
• Full time candidate (non-sponsored) selected for the Programme M. Tech. (by Research) may get stipend only if he / she will be working on a funded project.

For M.Sc.:

• A student seeking admission to any of the above mentioned Programmes must fulfill the following criteria:
• The candidates should have Bachelors degree under 10+2+3/4/5, pattern of education in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Bio-technology,
• Agricultural, Veterinary, Fishery & Dairy Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine (MBBS), BDS, Bioinformatics, Genetics, Medical Laboratory Technology, BHMS, BAMS, B. Tech./B.E. Biotechnology, Physiotherapy and
• Bio-medical Engineering with at least 50% marks as aggregate of all the semester / years. Candidates who have appeared for the final semester of qualifying examination can also apply.
