About Us:


Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT), an all India level management entrance test was born out of the felt -need to have a single unified test for admissions in the state of Karnataka into professional courses viz MBA. PGDM and MCA. Karnataka Private Post Graduate College’s Association (KPPGCA) was established on 29th January 2003 –in order to provide proactive support to professional education and facilitate and streamline admission to postgraduate professional courses, viz., MBA, PGDM and MCA. KPPGCA has in its fold over 169 member institutions located across Karnataka which are affiliated to respective universities in the state.

 

KPPGCA - established on 29th January 2003 - was born of a felt need for a professional body to provide proactive support to professional education and facilitate and streamline admission to postgraduate professional courses, viz., MBA, PGDM and MCA. KPPGCA has in its fold over 169 member institutions which are affiliated to respective universities in Karnataka. KMAT 2013: During the past nine years, KPPGCA has been orchestrating the process of admission to MBA and MCA courses to fill the management quota of seats in the member institutions by holding the "Karnataka Management Admission Test (KMAT)" at test centers across Karnataka.

Entry requirements into professional courses in Karnataka are strictly followed as per the UGC guidelines.

 

MBA: Bachelors degree / Masters degree examination of any recognised education body in Commerce, Management, Arts, Social Sciences, Engineering / Technology or equivalent, and have secured at least 50% of marks in the aggregate 40% for SC/ST candidate

 

MCA: Bachelor's degree with 50% marks. Candidates should have studied Maths at 10+2 stage or at graduation level.

 

Students are admitted on the basis of an entrance tests and marks secured in the qualifying exam. The test consists of objective type questions and contains different papers for MBA/PGDM and MCA
