Eligibility:
For admission to I Semester B.E.:
The Candidate has passed the II-Year Pre-University or XII Std. or equivalent exams with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following subjects:
- Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science, Biology, Electronics & has secured not less than 45% of the aggregate marks in optional subjects with English as one of the languages for admission to Engineering and Technology courses.
No Candidate shall be eligible for admission to full time degree course in Architecture unless;
- He has appeared for the aptitude test (NATA) part - I & II and
- Has passed the Pre-University examination or equivalent examination with Mathematics and English as Subjects and has secured 50% of the aggregate marks.
A Candidate shall be eligible for admission to any of the full time degree courses is the holder of a diploma in appropriate branch of engineering awarded by the Board of Technical Education in Karnataka or equivalent qualification and has secured not less than 45% of marks in the final year Diploma examinations. Provided that in respect of Architecture the Candidate must have secured not less than 50% of the marks in the final year Diploma Examination and appeared for Aptitude test (NATA).
Training & Placement:
The College has an independent Training and Placement Office headed by a Professor designated as a Placement Officer and supported by a Placement Coordinator of each department. The Placement Office provides the best arrangements for visiting officials of various companies' coming for recruitment. Placement Office functions in a separate block with all audiovisual facilities for PPT, written test, group discussion and interviews. The Training and Placement Cell has been striving continuously for the placement of the students in reputed organizations. Placements are made by inviting a number of companies and organizing campus interviews for higher semester students. Also, assistance is given to students who are not placed through campus interviews, to take up jobs through off campus mode. More than 50 reputed national and multinational companies visit the college for campus recruitment annually. Over 70% of the students secure job offers before they complete their courses. The T & P office also coordinates the placement activities for all the engineering colleges of VTU, Gulbarga region.
Facilities:
Library: The mission of the central library is to provide information service and access to bibliographic in order to support the institute march towards its vision. It strives to provide information to faculty and students so as to meet their expectations. It has barcode reading. A separate facility for access of E-Journals is also available in the library. Under Indest Consortia, the faculty and students are able to access about 250 online journals. Through DELNET the students can access the Library facilities of many reputed organizations.
Hostel: Available separately for Boys (for 400 students and 150 Girls).
Banking: An exclusive extension counter of Canara Bank is operating in the campus
Post Office: An exclusive extension counter of Post office(station bazar) area is provided the place for service in our society area in-front of college.
Medical: College campus has the first aid facilities. Our society has two hospitals. One is Sangameshwar Hospital which is just 1 km and other is Basaveshwar Hospital around 2 km away from college. These hospitals have good medical facilities and these are providing medical service to us regularly and on emergency. Students are treated at free of cost and staff are getting 25% concession for treatment.
