Guru Ramdas Khalsa Institute of Science & Technology was established by Guru Gobind Singh Educational Society, Jabalpur started in July 1997. College started function from 3rd October 1997 after the approval of AICTE, New Delhi and Government of Madhya Pradesh. Presently institute is running B.E Courses (Affiliated to RGPV, Bhopal) with five branches of engineering namely Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering with an intake of 60 students in each branch and Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering with an intake of 120 students in each branch. PG Courses (M.Tech) (Affiliated to RGPV, Bhopal) in Thermal System & Design with intake of 18 students, many aspirants are giving priority to Masters in Engineering program in Jabalpur.

It has achieved top positions in B.E finals and has a record of 100% placements with the best corporate houses. Some of the students have Secured merit position in University Examination. GRKIST is fully committed & in a short span of time have enhanced the engineering education system by motivating the students & teachers towards continues self development through a process of questioning their own understanding, their own values & their own decision making capabilities in keeping with social economic factors prevailing in the country.

The institute has the objective to impart best knowledge in the concerned field with time to time modification in curriculum, by imparting practical knowledge. The discipline and attendance in the classrooms and laboratories is very good. Utmost attention is given to the students in development their personality and communication skills. The college from its first year has a full-fledged training and placement cell which is in constant touch with the industries / organizations of both public and private sector to gather the latest information regarding the job opportunities.
