The Department of Training and Technical Education, Govt. of Delhi, in its mission to promote and establish centre of excellence in form of Institutes has added Ch. Brahm Prakash Government Engineering College at Jaffarpur, Delhi, from academic session 2007-08. This College has commenced academic programmes in B.Tech. (Civil Engineering & Information Technology Engineering) from academic session 2007-08 and B.Tech. (Environmental Engineering) from academic session 2008-09. The aim of the Govt. of Delhi is to develop this college as centre of excellence in Civil and Environmental Engineering and related fields.

The future extension of the college has to be planned keeping in view the needs of relevant human resource in these areas of engineering & technology, related sciences and other disciplines and their applications for building Civil and Environmental Engineering infrastructure for the development of society & nation. The college also encourages investigation and research in pursuit of excellence in the field of related sciences & engineering. Scholarship:

Scholarship is a boon for students, belonging to the weaker sections of the society, who are unable to further their education for some reason or the other. Scholarship is an incentive as well as encouragement for students, who are talented, but do not have the means to study further. There are a variety of scholarships – merit-based, need-based, student-specific, career-specific, and college-specific.

College Scholarship

1. Merit Scholarship: Merit Scholarship will be provided to all students securing 80% and above marks in previous exam. Application form

Examination:

The Examination Branch is one of the most sensitive organs of an University. Ours is an affiliating cum teaching University. The conduct of Examination for its programmes is, therefore, the major function of this Branch. Apart from conducting Common Entrance Test for admissions to various programmes of the University, the Examination Branch also conducts ‘End Semester' Examination for various programmes being run in the University Schools of Studies and the Self Financing Affiliated Colleges.

Common Entrance Test (CET):

The admissions to various programmes in the University is based on merit a candidate attains in the CET. The Admission process is taken care of in an expeditious, systematic and transparent manner. A hassle-free CET process has been evolved. A prospective candidate –immediately on the submission of the Application Form – is issued his/her Roll Number, Examination Center, Date and Time of Examination etc. via a single window system. The results are declared as per fixed schedule to facilitate time bound counseling.
