Eligibility:
For B.Tech (All Branches): The subject combination required in the qualifying examination (intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent) for admission to first year of different courses shall be as follows:-
- Compulsory Subjects : Physics & Mathematics
- Optional Subjects (Any one of following Subject)- Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject.
- For admission to 1st year of B.Tech candidate must have clearly passed intermediate examination of U. P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University & securing minimum 50% marks (45% marks for SC / ST Category candidates) without grace in required each compulsory subjects & one optional subject taken together as given above.
For B.Pharmacy: The subject combination required in the qualifying examination (intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent) for admission to 1st year of different courses shall be as follows:-
- Compulsory Subjects: Physics & Chemistry
- Optional Subjects (Any one of following Subject) – Mathematics / Bio-Technology / Biology / Technical Vocational Subject.
- For admission to 1st year of B.Pharmacy. candidate must have clearly passed intermediate examination of U. P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University and securing minimum 50% marks (45% marks for SC / ST Category candidates) without grace in required each compulsory subjects & one optional subject taken together as given above.
For M.B.A.: For admission to 1st year of MBA candidate must have passed Bachelors degree course of 3 years minimum duration from any recognized Indian University or its equivalent, recognized Institute securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
For M.Pharmacy (All Branches): For admission to 1st year of M.Pharmacy candidate must have passed B. Pharamacy examination from AICTE approved institutions with 60% marks. Candidate with 60% marks & who are GATE qualified will be given preference over candidates who are not GATE qualified in affiliated institutions / Colleges of University where M.Pharmacy courses are approved by the AICTE & the University.
Note: The reservation Policy & relaxation in minimum eligibility criteria is as per UPTU / State. Govt. norms.
Admission Procedure:
Admission to all courses is done as per the rules prescribed by Government of UP & Government of India / AICTE / PCI from time to time & approved by the Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU), Lucknow. Candidates are advised to always mention the Institute Code in the admission form during counselling. The Institute Code of Babu Banarasi Das Northern India Institute of Technology, Lucknow is 056.
Facilities:
Library: The Central Library of the BBDNIIT aims to satisfy the needs of all professional Programs. Its collection of about 50,000 selective books, 180 periodicals & Journals (both National & International), 1,200 CDs & Video Cassettes meet the greater part of the students' academic & research requirements. The library is also equipped with an e - library section having its own Computers with 24 hours access to internet with IEEE, INDEST, & Science Direct & Bentham Subscriptions. E-Library also contains various Open Courseware Materials from NPTEL, MIT - OCW, OCW Consortium etc. The Central Library also has Reprographic Services & Air-conditioned Reading Room facility for almost 400 students at a time.
Hostels: Hostel facility for 2000+ Boys & 1000+ Girls respectively is available in the Campus. The Hostel accommodation is on twin / triple sharing basis. Each Hostel has a Recreation Room with Television & Indoor Games facility.
Placements:
The Campus Recruitment Programme at BBDGEI gives an opportunity to the institute to showcase its talent pool to the corporate world & for the Corporate to reiterate their confidence in recruiting from the institute. The highly skilled base of students delivering stellar performances eventually leads to long term mutually beneficial associations with the corporate world & this has been proved time & again by the number of offers being given to BBD students. BBDNIIT (earlier known as NIEC), the one of the oldest & flagship Institution of BBD Group of Educational Institutions. It has achieved some big milestones in this academic year of its Placements.
The Placement Season at BBDNIIT began with Companies like Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) recruiting students of BBDNIIT with an annual package of Rs. 3.16 LPA. Many other companies like Thought Works, HCL, Genpact, BL Kashyap, Compro, SafeNet, Mobikwick, Drishti Soft, Josh Technologies, Innodata Isogen, IBM & many other top notch companies offering opportunities. The highest pay offered was Rs 6.5 Lac per Annum & the average package Rs 4.00 Lac per Annum which is a big achievement for BBDNIIT getting big offers & pay packages for its outgoing batch. This year a new trend of many start-ups have shown interest in recruiting our students. And the average package offered by these start-ups was around Rs. 4.00 Lac per Annum which adds another feather in the cap of BBDNIIT.
