A.I.E.T. Faridkot provides science and technology based engineering education with a view to produce quality engineering graduates. Adesh Institute of Engineering & Technology is approved by AICTE, NEW DELHI and affiliated with Maharaja Ranjit Singh State Technical University, Bathinda. The institution was established in 1996 on 39 acres of land, located at Sadiq Road, Faridkot.

The curriculum provides broad based knowledge and simultaneously builds a temper for the life long process of learning and exploring. A.I.E.T. Faridkot offers a variety of academic programmes for students with a wide range of backgrounds. Admission to B.Tech. Programmes are based on performance in JEE (Mains) examinations. The programmes offered by A.I.E.T. Faridkot are presently classified as undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. This classification is based primarily on entry/admission qualification of students rather than the level of degree offered. For all undergraduate programmes, students are admitted after 10+2 schooling while for all postgraduate programmes, students are admitted after they have obtained at least a college level Bachelor's degree. At the postgraduate level, students are encouraged to look beyond their area of specialization to broaden their horizons through open electives.

The medium of instruction in the Institute is English.

The Institute follows the semester system. An academic year runs from July through June next year and is comprised of two semesters. Typically, the 1st semester starts in the second week of July and ends in the 2nd week of November; the 2nd semester starts in the first week of January and ends in the 2nd week of May. The summer semester starts in the 3rd week of May and ends in the 2nd week of July. Detailed schedule is given in the Semester Schedule that is available before the start of the semester.

Eligibility:

For BE: Senior Secondary (10+2) Non-Medical Seats for Diploma holders available in all Branches through LEET in 2nd Year.

For M.Tech:  B.Tech of the same discipline  

For M.B.A : Graduation in any discipline

Admission Procedure:

Admission to all courses (B.Tech /M.Tech/MBA) in this Institute made according to the directions of the Maharaja Ranjit Singh State Technical University (MRSSTU)

The following competitive examinations forms the basis of admission to all B.Tech courses, in order of merit.

• All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) (15% category - for student from all over India)
• Admission under the Management Category is allowed after the completion of counseling by MRSSTU on the basis of AIEEE and CET merit. The Unfilled seats, If any are added to the (1/3rd) seats under Management Quota, as per prescribed rules.
• Latest Entry to the second year of the (four year) B.Tech. Courses are allowed for candidates holding (Three year) Diploma in Engineering. The maximum number of such (LEET) seats is restricted to 10% of the approved intake in each course.

M.Tech Courses: admission is based on the merit of applicants in B.Tech in the relevant subject. The MRSSTU, however, holds counseling for this purpose.

MBA: Admissions are regulated by the State Government through separate Entrance Test, followed by counseling.

Facilities:

Hostel: Institute has separate hostels for boys and girls, namely Baba Sheikh Farid Boys Hostel and Mata Khivi Girls Hostel. Each hostel is self contained with amenities such as guest room, reading room, indoor games room, dining hall and mess. The two Chief Wardens are in-charge of the hostels organizations. They are assisted by hostel wardens and mess presidents. The hostel accommodation has been designed for ease and comfort.Each hostel is equipped with a hygienic kitchen, a canteen, common room, gymnasium, hot water facility in winter and recreational facilities. Additionally,24 hours internet connectivity is available.Badminton Court, Lawn Tennis Court and Basketball Court are attractions for sports-loving students.Doctors and conveyance to hospital are available for emergencies.

Library: Institute has a spacious air-conditioned library with more than 20,000 latest books on Engineering and Sciences and is subscribing to more than 80 National/International research journals.The Library has a separate AC reading hall for students.There is a separate Book Bank for the SC/ST students.A full set of books is issued to a student for the semester.Institute library is subscribing to IEL ONLINE & DEL(Digital Engineering Library). The IEEE/IEE Electronic Library provides unparalleled access to publications from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering(IEEE) and the Institution of Eleclrical Engineering (IEE) The resourse covers more the 950,000 documents from over 12,000 publications including 120 Journals,Transactions, Conference proceedings and IEEE Standards.More than 25,000 new pages are added every month. DEL- provides access to a selection of more than 4,000 articles.It is uniquely structured around 12 major areas of engineering,covering Electrical,Electronics & Communication,Environment, Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, in addition to Physical Sciences.Additionally,DEL provides latest news on path-breaking discoveries and inventions in various disciplines of engineering and technology.

Sports: Institute has excellent sports facilities for all outdoor and indoor games and adequate emphasis is given on all round growth and development of students. Institute has well maintained football, hockey, cricket grounds and 400 meters athletic track. Two Volley ball courts, a Basketball court, a Lawn Tennis Court and Badminton court are available for students. A multi-gym exercise has been provided to the students. Indoor sports equipments viz. table tennis, chess etc. are also part of the sports facilities.

Fee Waiver Scheme : 10% Seats in each Engineering course are available under Tution Fee Waiver Scheme for women, economically backward and physically handicapped meritorious students.

Admission into B.Tech 2nd year (Through LEET) : As per MRSSTU rules in LEET brochure.

Placement:

Under the dynamic leadership of Er. SP Monga, Corporate Relations Manager (CRM), Adesh Foundation and guidance of an experienced Training and Placement Officer (TPO), AIET provides full placement to all its eligible, pass-out graduates. Top Indian and Multi-National Companies visit for campus recruitment. The Institute trains the students to face interviews and prepares them for group-discussions and other tests.
